No offense, but I had rather little expectation. But this is a real gem. The staff are really nice and they explain literally anything. The store is very unique layout and it makes me wonder how it would look in the summer. The food and drink was very solid. They really know how to bake. It seems, the owner really puts a lot of effort in making the baked goods, and it really shows. Extremely impressive.
We were in Poughkeepsie for one night and decided to stop at Kelly's Bakery for breakfast to start the day. We were promptly greeted by one of the staff who took the time to summarize the menu since we said it was our first time there. I got the avocado toast, which was so buttery and fresh with the sliced vegetables, and the toast itself was very warm and chewy. Cannot recommend this bakery enough. Had the most delicious coffee there today and because it was my birthday , was treated to a piece of cheesecake. Delish. Great owners. Cool decor. Fabulous food and drink !!
