Worst restaurant experience in years.
So the food reviews are correct. The food is great. I ordered starters and it was great.
The waitress/bartender yelled at me from the moment I sat in the chair. I asked for draft beer and got yelled at. I asked for food menu and got yelled at. Interestingly there were caucasian people sitting left and right. She was very nice to them. Chatted all the time and smiled and cracked jokes. When it came to me it was like why I was even there? I am not a nine head of some sort but if you are black/brown avoid this place. They apparently don’t welcome us here.
Interestingly the Caucasians were still served drinks and I was never asked if I wanted a refill. A check thrown at me. Literally thrown on the table.
Simply bad people. Best avoided

Great atmosphere & great service. However salmon sushi didn’t taste like regular salmon, there was no salmon flavor at all. Not sure what happened there. We were charged 20% tip for a group of 6 of us, 20% is more than the normal of 15-18%. We mostly got hibachi rice with steak but the steak was cubed and tough to chew, I left a good amount of steak to bring home for my dog. The salmon was also dry as hell and small for their hibachi rice with salmon.

Asian fusion spot right in Eastdale.
Came by when everything was closed for the night on a Tuesday evening so it was nice to find a place that was open and still had food options. We’re talking 9:30 pm, nothing crazy time wise.
The restaurant was pretty empty, just the waiters and the bartender hanging out. The bar area was pretty big and spacious I can see this being a busy spot on the weekend or a cool spot to get a drink and some Asian fusion food.
For vegetarian options they had plenty! I ended up going for the sushi roll with sweet potato and also ordered the cucumber avocado (with sushi paper instead of seaweed). It wasn’t anything that wowed me or left me desiring more but it totally hit the spot. For some reason, the rolls did feel a little heavy.
It was such an easy order and I’m so happy they quickly prepared my food and I was able to take it to go and enjoy it from home. Always love trying new (to me) spots. Thanks Tomo making it happen!

Love coming to Tomo food is really good. Drinks are very reasonable. Love the atmosphere, especially when they have the outdoor wall open so you can enjoy the weather. We will continue to come back

It's either a hit or a miss. The inconsistency in customer service, pricing [look at your check before paying because they like to add upcharges to the bill and not tell you about it], and overall quality/freshness of fish makes this place no good. I will not be a returning customer.
The owner is trying to avoid taking accountability for his mistakes by submitting a response to my initial review claiming I added to the order and was told about the increase in price. This is 100% a bold faced lie. Here we have a business owner who lies to cover up their mistakes instead of acknowledging them and making it right with the customer.

I came in with my best friend for her birthday lunch, I ordered “2 rolls on the lunch special menu” and the server Bridget misheard me and served me the lunch special and 2 rolls , when I told her I wouldn’t eat it and i didn’t order it. She still proceeded to charge me (which was more than double of what I ordered for lunch) and told me “now I know for next time”, didn’t offer a resolve. definitely will not be getting served by her again, crappy attitude. Food is great tho, definitely re think the service side of things.

This restaurant is located at Eastdale Village (Route 44). The food is delectable and the menu options are plentiful. They have Japanese food such as sushi, tempura, etc.. The lunch specials are a great deal. For example, I ordered the shrimp with vegetables, miso soup and fried rice combo for $15.00. However, this price does not include beverages. There's also a bar if you prefer to sit there and order an alcoholic drink. I am a repeat customer because it exceeded my expectations (good food, service, atmosphere and reasonably priced). I highly recommend this Asian Fusion Restaurant.

I have been very happy with this restaurant up until this point. Went to pickup lunch today and I got the bluefin tuna and it was completely discolored and looked bad. My wife called and the restaurant was unwilling to do anything about it and told her that according to the sushi chef it is completely normal. I've had alot of sushi and this looks anything but normal. Pic is below so you can judge for yourself.
Kid-friendliness: We came with our 8 month old and the restaurant was very accommodating.

We have been here several times and have always enjoyed the food and service. Today we got take out for lunch and the sashimi was grey and looks unsafe to eat. It's irresponsible to serve any raw meat that looks this poor. Waiting on a manager to call us back for a refund...
