This review is for 217-95 Hempstead ave in Queens NY. I just left there and the customer service was horrible. The heavy set lady in the front with the screwed face was so busy on the phone than taking my order. Secondly the order I place which I confirmed BEFORE placing it was not ready. Lastly the same young lady in the front tried to correct me when I said that I asked for oxtail gravy on the rice. As if she was NOT focused on the phone when I was placing my order. Haven't tasted food yet but , come on Tropical Jerk lets get better customer service.

Bought a whole jerk chicken yesterday (3/24) and a large veggie =$30. The veggies were basically a large dish of just cabbage for 10 bucks and a whole chicken (in pieces) for $20. The chicken was tasteless with no hint of jerk seasoning whatsoever and no jerk sauce of any kind, so basically a rotisserie chicken with no flavor. I will never buy from this place again. Fake jerk chicken. And so we're clear I've had jerk chicken in Jamaica (the Island) and here in NY in Brooklyn. This place was the worst. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else.

They have no respect for anyone if you don’t give them tips ! I had a very bad experience just now I used my card to purchase a fried chicken and a soda I kindly asked for a paper bag to put my drink in and the young lady just dash it to me not even napkins she didn’t put in the bag ! I wish I could give -0 star I will not spend another dime here nor do I recommend anyone to stop and spend their hard earned money at this place as a fellow Jamaican it is very embarrassing

I went to go get the large jersey chicken meal. I wanted only dark meat. I explain that and told me yes. OK. When I get home not only the gave only white meat. But I called and told the lady who picked up the phone what they did. She was so nonchalant. She really didn't give a darn and just said sorry. The young boy in the back is a liar, he was the one who said its all dark meat.The older man much better. Check what you order. Cuz u might not get what you asked for.

I love the food… best jerk chicken in Queens hands down… I’ve been a loyal customer for years… and I have to say one thing… for years the customer service was good… the girls (yes, there were many different ones a long the years) that take your order, they’re not very friendly, or even polite… but went there this week and for my surprise… I had a very good experience. Coming back next week for sure! ?
I've had my share of Jerk Chicken in my years, and this had to be the most dry chicken I've ever had. Sadly, I was craving it only to be disappointed...ever had that experience?
