Arrived in Astoria late last night and stopped in here for a quick meal. Outstanding service by Mohammed and the others and the food was incredible. Check it out! Love the dining area way in the back! And the complimentary tea at the end was superb!

I got delivery from them on Uber eats, the hawawshi and tabbouleh taste amazing and the portion sizes are pretty large. They gave me a free can of soda with my order :)

I was excited to try Egyptian food while walking through this neighborhood. I wanted to try to give this place a chance but my experience was mega painful just ordering my food here.
First I explicitly told them I wanted to order the beef shawarma wrap with everything with their prices displayed at $12.99. I mentioned it 4 times and the staff were muddled talking in English. I had such a hard time getting through to the staff and even tried pointing to the picture of the beef shawarma wrap with the exact price included.
A part of me felt scared that I wasn’t going to get exactly what I ordered. And then I saw the staff take out a container to make a platter, which was the most expensive selection at the place.
After debating so long, I just went ahead and accepted that I was getting the platter. But I definitely was not a happy customer and having to be forced to pay $25 for just a rice platter with a salad. I could’ve went down the block to a Halal cart and paid more than 50% less than what this place charged me.
I left beyond annoyed and never in my foodie life have I ever experienced someone who did not make any attempts to make exactly what I wanted to order as my meal. I don’t know if it’s because of how timid I looked, they decided to stiff me on the customer service.
This will be my expensive and final contribution to this place. Go to other Egyptian restaurants down the block as they will make sure to get your order right and be respectful of your spendings. As for the food, the meat was very hard to chew through and the veggies were passable and edible enough. But not outstanding where I would be cornered to spend this much for a takeout dinner.
Beware before setting foot in here.
Expensive here! Many other options in the area for similar food. Also, I don’t suggest you get their grape leaves…not cooked well…

50$ for chicken over rice is a robbery
Food was ok,but they said it cost 15$ per person and at the end we paid 50$ per person, and I asked 2 times about the price.I'm not recommending this place!
