Visited for lunch. Good samosa. Ordered a lamb dish- the lamb was tough. Portion can be better.

love this place and in my opinion it's the best Indian food in NYC. Place recently opened and I get takeout a couple of times a week and have dined here several times already. I've tried almost everything on the menu and it's all delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful and they have a full bar. Prices are super reasonable and the owner Ali is total gentleman.

First impression walking in: oh, mistake. There were a couple of guys at the bar and it was otherwise quiet and empty. The decor was a bit questionable an the tables were small. My wife and I looked at each other and I could tell that the thought of leaving was passing through our minds. We've been here from Texas for a few weeks and have had bad experiences dining. I'm glad we stayed. We were both glad. The nan bread was flavorful although not flaky and light like I'm used to. Maybe because we had the garlic nan but I suspect that it's not home made. That said, my lamb plate was VERY good and my wife's vegetable plate was REALLY GOOD! We had a good (not great) mango lassi and called it a night. We're coming back to try other plates. I do recommend it. Not too expensive. Good stuff.

The food in this place is amazing , I order the tikka masala chicken it was fresh and light on taste the lamb was delicious as well , real Indian flavor . I highly recommend this place , the service was excellent the gentleman make sure that we were enjoying the food and made few recommendations prior to us ordering .

We had an awesome time at Ash! Ali was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were amazing, and the Karahi Chicken was fantastic. Definitely recommend this spot for great food and service!

In my opinion the best Indian food in the Kew Gardens area. The chicken vindaloo and garlic naan where great. My wife and I also tried the lamb biryani, which was to die for. The owner is friendly and my made our afternoon even better with his excellent and personal service.
