Great fresh bagels (I got the wheat everything) good spreads (I got the raisin walnut), and very friendly young Hispanic staff, they were quick and offered to toast my bagel without me asking. There’s no atmosphere in this place, just like a normal bagel pickup spot, but my biggest issue is the price! $8 for a bagel and cream cheese is just wild to me, especially if I’m not getting an ambiance or sit down experience with it.

Was kinda weary of trying this place given the reviews about the owner, but I went in and she wasn’t there. Instead I was met with what was simply the best Bagel of my life (so good I hate to capitalize Bagel). Tender with a crispy crust, very much life altering. #Cash only, which i respect.

Good bagels but god bless you if you want it toasted and it just “came out the oven” you are on your own. Don’t bother asking you will be shown the door. If you ever watched Seinfeld this is the soup guys equivalent so if you want the proper experience go for it again the bagels are good.
So food is not the issue but person in charge runs a tight ship you feel you are at boot camp and one wrong word and you will be in time out. They are a bit pricey as well.

Haven't been here since middle school, and can say that after 8 years Astoria Bagel Shop still holds up. Excellent quality as always, having fresh bagels always ready. Truly a great experience and the people running the shop are a joy to talk to. Even brought a cousin from out of state and she agreed that this is the best bagel shop around. The only thing that has actually changed about this is the price which is understandable in this current economy. Come to Astoria Bagel Shop ASAP.

I didnt feel like getting bk bagels today and Im glad I tried this place out. The place is calm, clean and ample. These bagels are very fresh, worth the walk from 30th ave, soft inside and crunchy outside. My coffee was lukewarm but they were prompt to heat it up. Coffee is like a medium dark roast- just right, I always get it without sugar. My guests said service looked distracted but it could be because it was 2pm on a sunday and working service is tiring specially if there since early hours. Anyways

I definitely recommend this place

The bagels are delicious, and the ambiance is relaxing. However, I feel that the customer service lacks a warm and friendly greeting for customers. My feedback is to try being polite to customers and create a friendly and welcoming environment, so people can escape New York City's fast-paced and busy environment. I believe being kind and cautious would make people more approachable.

The bagels and food here are delicious, and I appreciate that two of the employees are polite and attentive to orders. However, I had an unpleasant experience with the employer and another employee who were rude and monotonous. Today, when I ordered a cold coffee and a bagel, I had to repeat my cold coffee order twice, but the employee still didn’t seem to understand and responded with sarcasm, which was disappointing.

An authentic bagel place with incredible food!
And they're rude too! It completes the authentication!

Best bagels in Astoria hands down. They are super fluffy and but a good amount of cream cheese. Only downside is that it’s 6.50 per bagel I got two bagels with spreads for $14 and some change which I think Is kinda pricey

Place went downhill last few years. Burnt bagel, way too expensive. Used to be the best bagel in Astoria but hate to admit that both Brooklyn bagels are better

Best Bagels in Astoria, they don't take apple pay. However, it's cash only! I love Astoria Bagels. Sesame Bagels rule the world! Can't go wrong with a New York Bagel in the big apple thanks to Astoria Bagel Shop.

For me, best bagels in the area. Bit crisp, nice bite and chew, and fluffy inside. That said, they're bizarrely overpriced if you want anything on them ($6 for a bagel with cream cheese is wild), so just buy your bagels and do the rest at home.

As long as it's just the guys working, service is totally pleasant. Cash only and no frills in the right way.

The best bagels in Astoria Queens. I recommend the Turkey bagel sandwich. Obligatory step.
