Was craving a filled croissant and the pistachio one was good! I went on sunday so the croissant didn’t feel the freshest, maybe better on a weekday. Consistency of filling was on the thicker side. 6$ for a croissant seems wild but maybe typical for the area 🤷🏾‍♀️ drip black coffee was good. quick to-go service. nice area to sit out front.

The staff are friendly and I personally like their coffee as it doesn't give me palpitations, the bakery quality is average ...
The outdoor seating is nice however the tables and chairs are not stable.

Giving 2 stars: 1 for the nice seating outside and 1 for the effort to open early on Sunday morning. 0 stars for the coffee that was weaker then deli coffee. 0 stars for the almond croissant that looked really good but when I took a bite it was so dry that it fell apart and ended up on the floor and 0 stars for the service that turned their back to me even before I paid, I guess I should have walked away without paying but that’s not my style.

My recommendation is to buy coffee and pastry somewhere else then enjoy the outside seating, the staff don’t seem to care.

This my first review and I had to make a review because this place is no good…. Order 2 quiche, 1 croissant sandwich , 4 americanos and a very plain croissant.. total? $52 and it wasn’t very good. The croissant was plain, I’m out of town visiting but I been to others in NY where they toast it and it’s crisp with a nice glaze on top. This place here give you the croissant plain out the container. Costco croissant would be better than this. To make it worse, I had food poisoning and I can’t help but to think it came from here. It was the quiche, it was still very cold after heating it up for only a minute which is not long enough. Only thing that was good was the coffee. Customer service was bad, they kept forgetting out stuff. I had to ask for my croissant which they forget and I had to ask for another coffee and I had to ask yet again for the other quiche

This place is just ok. If you are making a special trip to go there don't waste your time. The food is ok, you can find the same stuff if not better in other bakeries within the area. The service is HORRIBLE! The manager and 2 other employees that are sisters are mediocre to say the least. I had an experience in that place and would never go back. First a African American lady walked in and i noticed the 2 sisters making fun of her when she was talking on the phone and after the lady left they started to laughed and talking about her, totally inappropriate! I tried to tell them that it was wrong to make fun of customers and that i didn't appreciated that. After i left they were laughing and making fun of me, i found out through another customer that ran into me in the train. Total TOXIC and cheap environment.

Reaching out today with some constructive criticism. I love and am a multi day a week customer at Astoria Bakery. It's one of my favorite things about our neighborhood. But on my last visit I saw that in order to accommodate new credit card fees you have lowered the recommended tips on your machine, with the highest being 7% vs 22% before. I'm extremely disappointed with this decision. Even if you have new overhead costs, it's extremely unfair for that to impact the potential tips of your warm and hard working staff. Please consider raising prices or adjusting system settings more compassionately. Thank you.

I love this bakery. They have the best croissant sandwiches and pastries. Also, their coffee is the best!!
