I really wish that I liked Aubergine Cafe more...it is a longtime local spot and it looks really inviting with seating indoors and outdoors in good weather. They have a good selection of packaged vegan breakfast treats/cookies which is neat and the food I've tried has been good...but the lattes are not great. Every time I've had a latte here the milk was overheated and I don't know that they pull a good shot to begin with. BTW; another reviewer mentioned that their croissants are buttery and flaky and I have to respond with an unequivocal, 'No, they are not!'. They are dry and large and mostly tasteless. If you want a good croissant try the ones made fresh by french bakery 'La Bicyclette' in Williamsburg or at Bench Flour Bakers in Astoria/Ditmars. I'd also say the ones sold at Balancero (an awesome coffee shop!) in Astoria are pretty good and certainly superior to those sold at Aubergine Cafe.

Awesome food and great coffee! Definitely try the seasonal menu for fun and delicious flavors - SO much better than Dunkin or Starbucks. The service is quick and all the employees are kind, every time I’ve visited. There’s no Wifi which is the only downside, so not a working cafe, but great to get a bite with a friend or get some coffee to go. I’ve had several different lattes, pastries, sandwiches, paninis and everything was delicious, never disappointed!Dietary restrictions: Several vegan and gluten free options on menu and for pastries - individually wrapped also!

I've always been a big fan of this place. I didn't really like that the owner apparently opposed the bike lanes, but that is past history. I go here all the time and I've never been let down.

Just stopped in for a coffee - should have come here sooner.Drinks were great, but everything on the menu looked tasty. Was pretty busy and popular. But they work fast.

Great spot to chill out and have a coffee. We went here a few times during our trip to New York and the coffee was really good.We didn’t eat, but the food looked good too. Well worth a visit.

This place will always be called Sexy Squirrel Cafe to me. I miss the old sign out front! Great coffee, sandwiches, and pastries! One of the best in Woodside!

I enjoyed my chili and tortilla chips along with lemonade, although for $10 I feel like it should be have been a bigger portion of chili than it was (it was a small cup). I met a friend there, and her avocado toast with salmon looked delicious.

Another mystery book tour. Have never visited this part of queens. Nice, little cozy spot. Mixed neighborhood. Easy access off of GCP. Plenty of shopping
