Great place would be nice if you open 24hrs
The BBQ Hut serves flavorful, authentic barbecue with tender meats and quick, friendly service. A great spot for a satisfying, no-frills meal.
D best food ever 😋
Great service delicious food
Meat selection was good..fried rice was blandish as was the macaroni pie.
People at these places need to consistently taste their food before putting it to sell.
Worst service ever. Called and placed an order they said it'll be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived at the location and waited for an hour while they kept saying they're working on it I can clearly see that they're prioritizing orders from services like doordash and other delivery services.
Food is really good and it's halal!!!! I had the jerk lamb with fries. Lamb was tasty and good enough portion.
Been ordering food here since they open and every time I order it comes less and less. Today unfortunately it’s a bit too much.I ordered the bbq chicken with macaroni pie and potato salad which they charge extra for. If I could share a photo I would. I got 2 pieces of chicken, a leg and I’m guessing a piece of thigh, the macaroni pie is literally 2 inches square, I measured it and the potato salad sits along side it the same way and on top of it all I requested sauce on the meal because if you ask for it on the side that’s an additional charge and there was non, no bbq sauce neither garlic sauce. Today would be my last purchase from you guys. I hope you don’t treat all your customers this way.
Whenever I am in Queens , I will get food from here, the food is always good but the last 2 times , the lamb was a bit tough.
No complaints about the service or other dishes.

Small food businesses are so hard to find. My friend saw this place and asked me if I wanted to try it and of course I said yes. I literally fell so in love with this place. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food! It made me want more and more. I got the BBQ chicken with fries and all sauce except pepper. When I finally got my food and opened it, my mouth was watering. It had four good-sized pieces of chicken and a good amount of fries. Also, it was dripping with sauce. Presentation was on point and so were the flavors. I would highly recommend Avenue BBQ Hut to anyone, yes! It’s that good.

The owner quoted a price for a tray of shrimp rasta pasta.
Give me tray without shrimp.
Asked what happened to my order, AND HE DENIED THAT I TOLD HIM WHAT I WANTED
. I have a witness.
Never again
There aren't many halal BBQ spots in NYC, but this one stands out as one of the best. I usually go for the BBQ chicken fried rice and potato salad— it is incredible, with the chicken being exceptionally tender and flavorful. I’ve also tried their mac and cheese, which is good, but could use a bit more seasoning. Overall, this place is definitely one of the top BBQ spots in the area, if not the best, and it's great to have a quality halal option.

Bbq chicken was undercooked. Was told 15 min and took more like 45 min. Lamb was chewy and fatty. Spent $40 for inedible food. Lo mein underseasoned and they gave a tiny dollop of potato salad. Fried rice was hard. Never again. I could’ve sat in kaitteur for $40 and had a way better meal.
