Loved the Tacos and cocktails we had here this last taco Tuesday. We loved the vibes at this spot too, fun artwork lines the walls and it’s super cozy!Highly recommend trying the Salmon Dish, the Birria tacos and the Azteca soup — it is perfectly seasoned!
Don't be fooled by the looks or location, you'll be transported to a little corner of Mexico here. The food is FANTASTIC. There are dishes with familiar ingredients or names, but I promise when they're actually served, it's not your typical fare. The ceviche and grilled octopus are must haves with flavor profiles unlike what you've had elsewhere. The picaditas are so yummy and unique if you haven't explored deep into Mexican regional cuisine. And the sopa azteca is a warm freshly served delight. I've tried other dishes here before that were also delicious, but I've named my consistent favorites. As for the drinks, WOW is an understatement. The cocktails here are truly superb - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic ones. The owner and bartender Artemio is super knowledgeable in spirits and can craft you something off menu in a heartbeat if your palate so desires. Actually, Artemio is usually the main staff member on the floor, so he's clearly a hands on, do it all owner and maintains the warmest most welcoming demeanor throughout. Though tucked away off the main stretches of Woodside/Astoria, you should absolutely make the effort to visit. A must try quality Mexican restaurant!

A delightful experience at this cantina! The tacos corn tortillas exuded an authentic aroma not found in store-bought tortillas, complemented by a birria consommé that was both thick and tasty. The flan, impressively thick and flavorful capped of this dinner perfectly. The drinks, especially the margaritas with fresh lime juice, added an extra layer of deliciousness. It is a great place to have drinks and Mexican food the owner Artemio is a person that has lots of experience in the hospitality business the drinks are smooth and great the margaritas and the mezcalitas are infused with many ingredients ,the mezcal mule are great and the food as well , just go and have a nice time!

This place is such a hidden gem!!! The corn tortillas are so insanely fresh because they invest in legit masa that's been nixtamalized! Loved the short rib! The owner Atremio is so kind, and I'd love to see him succeed!!! The decor is so fun & colorful too -- it reminds me of being in Oaxaca. This place deserves to be better known!!! Also happy hour is a great deal -- $10 margaritas!!

In a city that lacks stellar Mexican food, this is a great gem. The chips and salsa.. yes, the chips and salsa were wonderful. You have a selection of sauces. They are all packed with complex flavor. Hidden and unassuming for sure but very good.

We had such a delicious Mexican dinner here!! Mexican food is my FAVE and they did NOT disappoint! Here's what we had: ~Red Sangria ~Ay Peachy Guey! Bianco tequila, Pisco, Mezcal Mist, Pulque, Peach, Apry, Peach Purée, fresh lemon juice, orange bitters ~Queso fundido with short rib , Mexican cheese, pico de Gallo, avocado, and corn tortillas-This was one of the best appetizers I've ever had. For cheese lovers like myself, I cannot stress this enough, this is a MUST ORDER!! The cheese pull was immaculate. The cheese was salty, stringy, and had a nice little crust on the bottom. PERFECTION! ~Al pastor picaditas- pork marinated in achiote, pineapple salad, black beans, salsa, cilantro- Def my second fave thing we ordered! They were so crispy and the pork was so tender and went so deliciously with the pineapple. They were fantastic! ~Birria tacos- braised brisket, pickled red onion, red sauce, served with consume ~Baja fish tacos- mahi mahi, corn tortillas, chipotle aioli coleslaw, red sauce. Love the texture that the slaw provided. ~Shrimp enchiladas- green sauce, Mexican cheese, crema, queso fresco, onion - The sauce was so fresh and flavorful!
