This is my fav halal cart in the city, best time to go is later in the day. I showed up twice during the listed opening hours and they were not still ready.
However the flavors, value, and cost is good. Good quality, onions, cilantro. Good chicken and lamb. Hands down best in queens by far

Yes, the reviews are real. This is my TOP halal cart in all boroughs. Source: I am Indian and also live here, and have tried ten's of halal carts in Manhattan/Queens. First, the flavor. A lot of halal is mid now, bright colored rice that tastes like absolutely nothing. Not this guy. Both the rice and chicken is actually well seasoned, faintly reminiscent of biryani. Lots of veggies, and lots of sauce too. Next, quantity: 10/10. He does NOT skimp. A lot of carts now barely fill the container. I had enough for two meals. Thirdly, he is so NICE. Buying food from a pleasant, smiling soul does a lot. I will never buy food from someone who is stressed, or rude. It goes into the food. Ruins the experience. I wish him lots of success and can't wait to come back to Queens to get my fix. If he was at the square on Roosevelt/Broadway he'd have a line around the block.

I have been a regular customer since 2014 when Boshir’s cart was next to TD bank . In this long period of time I never had any issues with food quality , portion and test. Boshir is a great guy as great as his gyros platers. Absolutely one of the best gyros in NY for sure.

Best tasting gyro cart in Jackson heights. Bashir is a gentleman and very patiently cook foods in small batches. Customers have to wait a bit to get the freshly cooked food. Portion amount is enough for one person. Highly recommend. He can make the food hot or spicy according to customer’s choice.
