Known as "Party BBQ" in English: Located on Broadway, between 45th Ave & Whitney Ave., in Elmhurst (in front of the Asian Supermarket which has its own parking lot). This BBQ lot has been here for years and has quite a large following. There's always a line of ppl patiently waiting for their BBQ goodness! On this Tuesday evening at around 7:30pm, it was no exception; there were about 8 ppl on line. But don't let that deter you from ordering your BBQ Skewers! The line moves surprisingly quickly. This is a one man show and he was hustling! Kudos to the hardworking gentleman making our BBQ Kebabs, and don't forget to tip him!On this visit, we tried their Beef and Lamb Kebabs ($1.75 each). We asked for the kebabs with cumin and extra spicy. These were so flavorful and delicious! My only complaint is that some pieces were very fatty but very good nonetheless.I will definitely be looking for this cart the next time I'm in the area. Looking forward to trying their other skewers! (See my photos for their menu offerings).

Came with my boyfriend whos been here multiple times and said it was delicious, and he wasn’t wrong. We got chicken, squid, chinese sausage, ricecake, shrimp, and beef skewers that were ALL amazing. HIGHLY recommend the spicy powder on any skewer you order. I have low tolerance for spice, but it was just a small kick for a couple seconds. I will be coming here way more often, I found my favorite food spot for late night snacks.

I could not resist a good skewer cart in Queens since we don't have such great ones in Brooklyn. The one I miss the most is based out of Flushing and I have not been lucky to catch them in years. This one is a close second. The beef skewer was not as good as the Flushing Cart but it had one cube of fat (better than none), and the rest were all non-fatty cuts. I prefer the skewer to be thinner actually so that the beef isn't so chewy. I also believe this cart heavily salts the meat as marinade beforehand whereas the flushing one, it may not be as evident. Point here is the beef skewer was fairly salty. I didn't get the cumin flavor as much but I'll take this any day over the carts we have in Bk. The hubs tried their chicken gizzard skewer and said it was so much juicier and fresher than at other carts. to each their own!

A "man among men" is how I would describe this chef. It was a snowy New York City night like no other. The moon hidden behind the clouds. My comrades and I trekked through the mountains of snow, looking for a hot meal in the frigid temperature. "The city that never sleeps" is a lie; as New York lay frozen motionless at 3:00 AM. We were famished, weak, and cold--walking aimlessly through the tundra of Elmhurst. Just when all hope was lost, we saw a red lamp in the distance. Like the green light in The Great Gatsby, we were captivated by the red light. We trekked in our beaten Timbs and saw a man in a space suit. Skewers in one hand, and spicy powder in the other, this rocket man was like no other. Beef, lamb, chicken, squid, lobster, fish, you name it and he has it. Every type of meat, simply skewered with a crispy edge, and a little charred for the smoked umami flavor. Each skewer is sprinkled with a spicy dry rub concoction that simply elevates the tastebuds, leaving our outer lips burning for another bite. We ordered skewers in every shape and form, one bite--and my men and I replenished our health and were able to live through the night. This rocket man saved us that night, and we will never forget.

With no official English name, the closest name I could derive from their Chinese name (洛阳兄弟烤串) was Luoyang Brothers BBQ Cart. Located in the heart of Elmhurst along Broadway and in front of the US Supermarket parking lot, this skewer cart has catered to the local community with their variety of skewer meats and are open late for the wee-hours feast. Due to being in front of the parking lot and well lit from the street lights, it's hard to miss this cart. Since their peak hours are after all the nearby spots have closed, there is actually ample parking in the lot in case street parking doesn't work. An added bonus is the fact they have actual seating for folks who want to enjoy their skewers with a table and a seat. It's not a lot, but it's way more than what most other carts have to offer. Many of the skewer carts of today are offering theirs for $2+, but Luoyang is right around the $1.50-$2 mark. The quality isn't better than what one would find in Flushing, but it's perfectly adequate for what it is. The lamb with a little spice powder is my usual go-to, but I also enjoy a little beef tendon and chicken. For more adventurous skewer enthusiasts, there is sheep's waist and frog legs available for premium charges. (#1)Service is usually good for the most part; it's a pretty fun to watch the man flipping the skewers over the hot coals while dousing them with seasoning at the same time. Mandarin is usually the way to go here, but pointing at the menu seems to work just fine for our non-Chinese speaking friends. It's a cash only operation, so bring plenty of it.As the largest satellite Chinatown in the borough, Elmhurst will only continue to get bigger with carts like this in the fold. It's not like Flushing with multiple carts across Main Street, but I'm just happy they've stuck around to provide a late night option to the neighborhood._____________(#1) No, you go ahead. I'll watch.
