A great spot for unique pancakes!

I had a hankering for pancakes and decided to stop by. The matcha pancakes sounded great, and it turned out to be phenomenal.

I was in the neighborhood a little early for an appointment so I decided to walk around a little to kill some time when I came across this place. I was happy to see they were open quite early since many places open later in the day. I decided to drive it a about since I was early for my appointment but about an hour and thought that's enough time to grab an impromptu breakfast, and I was really glad I did. I ended up at Belly Cake Pancake House unexpectedly, and while the place has its charms, the food didn’t quite win me over. I had the Nova Platter (sunny side up egg, smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomato, onions, greens, and capers on an everything bagel). The ingredients were fresh, but the bagel was so hard it was almost impossible to eat it really took away from the dish. The side of home fries was just plain potatoes, no seasoning or veggies, which felt very underwhelming.
