Amazing Cuban food with a great vegan option.
The food was great but the service was terrible.
Ropa Vieja has definitely hit the spot, service is great but they need to invest in new speakers for the music it's so loud coming from the corner, but if speakers were spread out along the perimeter the great music could be played without giving you a migraine when you leave.
Otherwise all else is great the food and staff!👍
2 Cuban Sandwiches and 1 Pernil later… Say Hello to Lil Cuba NYC!
Best Cuban Sandwich I've had in a Long Long Time
Delicious 😋 affordable ✨ good vibes
Everything was absolutely delicious! The Vaca Frita had the perfect balance of rice, plantains and shredded beef cooked perfectly. The three ingredients match each other so well it was a match made in heaven for my taste buds. I'm a fan of not only cuban food but all Caribbean cuisine and this place is spot on. The Cafecito Cubano was also excellent! I'll definitely be back 💯🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺
This place is incredible. Very much worth it.
Very good Cuban sandwich to perfection. They call it El Cubano. Highly recommended 👌
Excellent breakfast meal. The bread is so good. We will be back for dinner soon. Try the banana bread pudding. They call it maduro bread pudding.

So cute and delicious!
This cuba restaurant is amazing! The food is flavorful, clean and the prices are affordable. Every dish is packed with authentic taste and served with a smile. Mike, the owner is a super nice guy. If you’re craving delicious cuban cuisine, this is the spot!
I've visited this spot once a while ago, and after being disappointed with my first visit, I recently decided to still give it another try. Being Cuban, I have certain standards for any restaurant claiming to be 'Cuban' in this city.
The recipes used at Benny's, are absolutely not authentic to Cuban cuisine. The flavors, don't represent Cuban cuisine. I don't think the owner is Cuban, making the whole concept for this restaurant even more of a gimmick. It saddens me to think that this is what may be some people's first impression of 'Cuban' food.
The quality of the food was entirely subpar, and I didn't get through 3-4 bites of my 'Ropa Vieja' dish before wanting to leave. The meat, dry, was just shredded beef, with virtually no flavor, not even a good attempt at a traditional, authentic, Ropa Vieja. Not to mention, it was definitely over a day old, and extremely dry. The rice, tasted microwaved, also old, and the beans, had absolutely zero resemblance in flavor profile to traditional Cuban black beans.
I always think twice before leaving a harsh review, but this one, I believe, is entirely well deserved. I sincerely do not recommend this restaurant, and my main take-away is to inform as many people possible, that this is NOT, by any means, an authentic Cuban-cuisine dining experience.
Ropa Vieja was dry the pork tacos were really good. The plátanos were way too thick and not seasoned at all. I overheard them talking about me and my partner in Spanish assuming I don’t speak the language. The maduros were barely sweet at all
Three generations of my family came to this restaurant, it was a total joy. We were treated like their family as we celebrated the birthdays of my parents, both well into their 80s. My family is familiar with Cuban food and the warm people. We had never been here and consider this our new favorite. A total treat, with delicious choices and a wonderful welcome.
