When I tell you I will let everyone know how disgusting of an individual Jackie the owner so she said. My coworkers and I order from here every day, not for $10 when we order we order for $40 and up every time some time spending $100 or more. To insult someone over their mistake, to insinuate that we tried to scam them! The Long Beach location would never.

We zipped up from Windsor, Ontario for a fun, kid-friendly getaway to a place we had never been. ROCKAWAY BEACH was a hidden Gem. My first mission in New York was to sink my teeth into an epic bagel. Boardwalk Bagel? Absolute HOME RUN!
This place was everything I hoped for when imagining what a NY bagel would be like —perfectly tucked near our hotel, it felt like strolling into a warm family gathering. The staff were all smiles, bending over backward to help with everything and making sure we left stuffed and happy. The bagel lineup? Unreal. And don’t get me started on the cream cheese—pure heaven in every schmear! They have tons of options too—drinks, fresh fruit, you name it. So much to love!
We couldn’t stay away—ate there every single day, and one day we even doubled up! Huge shoutout to the amazing crew for sending us back to Windsor with a stash of their incredible bagels. If you’re anywhere nearby, you have to swing by Boardwalk Bagel. It’s a must! 🥯

I ordered ahead and it was ready right when I got there and was absolutely delicious! The is the perfect spot to grab drinks and a bite to eat before heading to the beach. Will be doing this again!

This is a big shame! I used to come here, almost religiously during my bike rides many years ago. Stopped in there recently and it’s understandable, given today’s economic times that they’ve hiked up their prices but to offer less than par service is quite disturbing. I TOLD THEM FOUR (4) TIMES NOT TO CUT MY SANDWICH! I have food allergies and intolerances and unless I’m using my own knife, I cannot trust their knife! I could not eat the sandwich! I told the cashier who was taking my order twice. I spoke clearly and slowly. When my order was ready, not only was the sandwich cut in half but it wasn’t even toasted! I had to wait another 5-6 minutes. When my order came out the second time the sandwich was cut again…I was beyond incensed at this point but was kind of in a rush, and starving, and did not want to wait another 6-7 minutes for my sandwich to be ready; I’m not spending an hour out of my day at a bagel shop ordering lol. Next order of business isthe side salad, at least offer something aside from a disgusting pickle! I can’t see myself going back there again, unless I am in the kitchen, watching every single move and/ or they refund me my money… Very upsetting experience overall sorry to say.

I don’t know how this place has so many good reviews. The customer service was not good, as I did not feel welcomed. I wish the food quality made up for the lack of hospitality but my overpriced dry meal sadly lacked flavor. I wanted to support smaller businesses, but i will not be returning. i should’ve walked to the nearest fast food chain instead. Im so disappointed

The bagel to cream cheese ratio is not typical NYC style. They’re light handed on the cream cheese and this has been consistently my experience. However, if you get tuna on a bagel they’re heavy handed? Bizarre.

The bagels are HUGE yet light and fluffy. They do not skimp on the cream cheese either. The apple cinnamon cream cheese is so good and definitely worth a try!

Wow ok those were some seriously good bagels. Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and a sesame bagel with - behold: apple cinnamon cream cheese. Never seen that anywhere else and had to have it- it was like a heavenly dessert.

The bagels here are fantastic. I like them better than Essa bagels in the city. They are oversized, but very light, not dense like some bagels. The people working behind the counter are super friendly and genuine, just good people that enjoy their work and like chopping it up with people that come in. A great spot to stop in on your way to the beach or any morning you're in the area. Highly recommend.

I was staying at The Rockaway hotel across the street. I was here visiting due to the passing of my brother-in-law. I came here for a seasoned egg bagel with egg cheese and pastrami and corn beef. Very nice people working behind the counter, excellent customer service, very nice presentation of food in the case, and very clean establishment!
