We haven't been here for a very long time. I cannot even remember why not. It is very convenient being located on Union Turnpike, just before you hit Lakeville Road. There is a big parking lot for the stores but you can only get in from 271st. Once parked you go thru an entrance in the fence and a few feet from the restaurant. Cardini sticks out because of it's rounded front. I believe that tables may have been removed to open the space when covid hit. When we arrived...
So I had driven by this place many times and finally gave it a try . It is on Union Turnpike but has a parking lot in the back . It is a small , cozy place and only had one waiter the night we went . It took a longer than average time getting the basics , and a very long time for the food , especially the main courses . The appetizers were average ; we shared baked clams and fried calamari . My fradiavolo sauce lacked any heat - They might have brought the wrong sauce but I didn’t...
Always satisfied when I go here. It’s great authentic fresh Italian food with decent prices and specials. Cozy, clean. romantic restaurant that’s not loud and crowded most times. with nice tasteful music to enhance the environment. Very close and convenient to home. Invited family and friends and they’re just as impressed. So it’s now our primary go to place whenever the desire for good, reasonably priced food and a pleasant relaxing atmosphere hits us!
