I used to really like this place and had visited several times before, even recommending it to others. Unfortunately, my experience today completely changed my mind. I asked for a small sample of the ice cream before deciding on a flavor and was flatly told no. On top of that, the staff member rolled his eyes and was visibly impatient, which felt very unprofessional.
This is the first shop I’ve been to that doesn’t offer samples. If that’s the policy, at least put up a sign so customers know in advance instead of having your staff show attitude.
The bakery items are also on the pricey side compared to similar spots, and if you’re going to charge more, the customer service should be much better.
I won’t be coming back and can no longer recommend this place.

I liked it! I got some as a gift so I didn’t visit the actual store. All time favorite thing here was the strawberry pastry (if the business replies; please just say the name of that one) SO good. I would come back for that. Fantastic. Fluffy and light and airy with a perfectly sweetened cream fluff inside. Wow.
Corn cheese bread was sooo fun. If it’s served warm; I bet you it’s fantastic but I did eat it a couple of hours after it was ordered.
The fig bread had an amazing texture to it. Light and fluffy like Portuguese bread (I did personally wish the figs were cut smaller to enjoy more evenly but that’s personal preference)
The variety of stuff was really fun! Some things I did not like at all but my friends did so that was just personal preference.
Excellent and very original baked goods
My favorite cafe;Cafe W has ample seating (some with outlets) and an extensive drink and baked goods items, I feel like I can never run out of things to try and so far every item has been delicious!
Nice cafe with quality pastries and desserts. Good place to hang out
Parking: The parking spot is very limited. Only one or two.

I tried the breads at the recommendation of a friend, and I was surprised at how delicious they were... There was just the right amount of cinnamon in the bread, and the bread was so flavorful and soft. All of the creams are neither too sweet nor too greasy..! The best..you must try the autumn brioche feuilletee and sweet red bean bread...

Cronigiri is pretty good, but has a more crispy texture when its fresh in the morning. Solid croissants that have an Instagrammable aesthetic if that's your thing.
Parking: 3 or 4 spots in front of store, free street parking available away from Northern Blvd

I've seen Cafe W all over social media for a while now but didn't end up going until I heard about their onigiri croissants (onioissants). Walking in, the café is so spacious and well lit; it looked like a good spot to eat, have a drink, and chill for a few hours. I went in the afternoon and walked straight to all the pastries but it looked like a lot of stuff were sold out, especially the onigiri croissants. There weren't a lot left. I snagged a Mayo + Pollack Roe onionissant, Coffee Brioche Feuillettee, Matcha Croissant, and a Salted Butter w/ cream and Chive Bread. The onigiri croissant was still crispy and flaky on the outside and was actually stuffed with a good amount of pollack roe. It was good, but it probably isn't everyone's cup of tea. I was confused by the Coffee Brioche Feuillettee; it was fluffy and flaky but there was no coffee flavor at all. The Matcha Croissant was my favorite; it was flaky and buttery and the matcha cream on the inside was perfect. The Salted Butter with Cream and Chive Bread unfortunately was not a favorite; the cream was very overwhelming and the bread was just ok. Café W is a cute café with many things to try. Some are either hits or misses depending on what you like. I do have to warn that everything is quite expensive to me.

Bookmark this post immediately if you’re a fan of korean cafes/bakeries!! Cafe W & Bakery is a two-floor cafe in Flushing with ample seating, high ceiling, and most importantly, pastries comparable to those I had in Seoul.
If you’ve seen the viral Nudake croissant-themed cafe in Korea, you can find onicroissants that taste even better and with more generous fillings here.
As a sucker for anything corn, the sweet corn croissant has won me over with the sweet corn cream cheese filling. While their sweet croissants are fully stuffed with custard fillings and not too sweet.
If you prefer sth basic, their salt bread is also very solid. Incredibly buttery. The chive salt bread has too much cream cheese for my liking though.
My favorite bread/pastries listed in order:
- Sweet Corn Croissant
- Bacon Chive Onicroissant
- Black Sesame Raspberry Croissant
- Salt Bread
- Lemon Croissant
- Chive Salt Bread
- Baked Blueberry Bread Pudding
- Injeolmi Red Bean Bun
The einspanner is creamy, thick and fluffy, complementing with the nuttiness of coffee. Like most korean drinks, it is on the sweeter side.
My only complaint is their location is inconvenient if you don’t drive. I’m excited to try their cute cakes, bingsoo and more pastries next time.

They need to work on their coffee as it’s worse than Dunkin or Paris Baguette which are bottom tier. Appreciate the outdoor patio though.

Very visually appealing and the service there was nice. The drinks are on the sweeter side and the bread is ok. We went around the afternoon and the bread seemed stale - felt subpar for bread that was $7+ per.
