Caraotas Nyc - Arepas, Burgers & Milkshakes

They are decreasing the portions of the bowls by a lot. I used to be able to split a bowl into two meals, now I finish one and I’m barely full. There is a noticeable difference. I would rather get chipotle for this price.

Where do I start besides everything was mushy old and tasted like straight salt . I had shredded chicken beans white rice plantain topped with sour cream and mozzarella cheese. I couldn’t tell the difference between the melted mozzarella and rice . Sour cream taste like salted rice water . Rice tasted undercooked and old. You know when u have left overs and you add water to soften it up . It’s wasn’t worth it to me. Chicken had zero flavor besides salt. Maybe I got them on a bad morning. Honest review I wouldn’t eat here again. Oh and did I say there pickled onions aren’t even pickled. They taste like salt it doesn’t even taste like onion .

Love this place , the freshness of the food is incredible, the atmosphere is amazing, and the burgers are one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever have , the empanadas forget about it , even the tho the owner is a great friend of mines , he is doing a great job, keep it up my brother , we will always support you and recommend your business to all my family and friends, GOD BLESS YOU and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK 🫡🙏🏼

I order frequently from this place on uber eats and it was super delicious, hot, and fresh. Last three times I’ve order has been terrible. I kept thinking it’s a one off situation but THREE times. Today the rice was hard which lets me know the rice is old. The plantains have been cold, black and old all 3 times. The bowl also is severely less food every time. Unfortunately, this is the last time I order Caraotas.

I ordered an item on Uber eats and it took 1.5 hours to get here with the person saying they are still making it and I ordered at 10:00pm so I assumed it wouldn’t be that busy. Around 11:05 was when the order was finally picked up. Finally got my order at 11:35 and no utensils or napkins in my bag and the food was cold.

Employees do not know how to cook. Overcook eggs, wrong ingredients in all items. I order from the bk location all the time and this has never happened before

Absolutely delicious. Haven't found a dish I don't love from this place yet. Always tastes freshly and well made. Have to stop myself from ordering everything on the menu all at once every time.
