This Carvel is located right on Hillside, with a small parking lot and outside seating. No indoor seating/eating available since there is just enough space for 6-8 customers to stand somewhat comfortable while getting their dessert. This location has what looked like 3 double soft serve machines, two decent size sections for scoop ice cream, ice cream cakes, pre-made ice cream cones to go, pre-made soft serve with fudge or caramel or strawberry to go, packs of ice cream sandwiches as well. They did not have single ice cream sandwiches, which was a bummer for my child who wanted to get one.Two young adults were working, although one was cleaning in the back and the other was helping the three groups of people that were waiting to order, with me being one of the groups. We got a small sundae dasher and single kids scoop with sprinkles. I inquired if the strawberry soft serve was ready since I noticed a blinking light. I was told yes, but I saw the machine popping the soft serve out as the employee tried to get it out....but the person told me it was okay. For the kids scoop, we took one scoop of cake batter. The scoop was small, where most of the cup was empty. I asked if that was the size, as it looked a bit small and was told yes. We got rainbow sprinkles and were surprised to see it barely coated the ice cream. We paid just under $14 for a small Sundae dasher and one kids scoop in a cup with some sprinkles. To my surprise, we were also charged for a hand dip. I don't know what a hand dip is, but I know that's not what we ordered or what we received. The quality and unknown charge were disappointing.Giving 2 stars because the employee who helped us was pleasant and parking was a breeze because of the parking lot.

I was super excited the Carvel building had an old fashion look, bringing back memories from my childhood. But super disappointed in their Cookie Pus cake, which ended up to have been melted and refrozen. 100% was the store's fault, cause we live 5 min away from carvel and I placed the cake in the freezer right away. This cake is $37, so I didn't expect this type of quality. My son made the best of the situation, but even the cookie saucer eyes were not fresh tasting to him. So it makes me wonder how old this cake was. I was hoping to pass on my memories of getting such a "luxury" cake as a child to my son. It's just too bad.

I purchased an Hot Fudge Sunday and it was horible, all ice with the edge barely any Fudge and the pistachio ice cream was all artificial flavor. Just a cheap way to make money. I give a nice tip but my tip would be to check the items before you go out. Very disappointing.

My favorite ice cream spot!!!! The owner is very hospitable and nice! The service is great. I've been going here for years and never had any complaints. The best Carvel spot for sure.

After a bad experience with cold stone for our son’s first birthday, we decided to give Carvel a shot for his second birthday and boy am I glad! Customer service from this place is outstanding. The cake turned out way better than I even anticipated I can’t thank this place/cake designer enough. Although we didn’t take the best picture, the cake was absolutely amazing. Thank you!

First, let me say that I love soft serve ice cream. And, in particular, Carvel. My local branch was renovated a couple of years ago and since then, it's better than it ever was. They have 8 choices of soft serve with some flavors rotating by the season. The wait staff is exceptional. They are courteous and cheerful all the time. After eating out, I skip dessert at the restaurant I was in and head here for my sugar fix and I'm never disappointed.

Ok, so it's summer, live close and love ice cream.. I wanted to give another shout out to Preeya. I like to taste the new flavors before I order and she always accommodates, is friendly and never gives an attitude. I even sometimes have a sundae and mix flavors, and she always says yes. I tell her I don't care if it's pretty, ha. The employees there are generally great, but she stands out. I have no relation to her, and I don't even know if I am spelling her name correctly. However, more importantly, the ice cream is delicious. You can't beat eating ice cream outside on a warm night, while supporting a local establishment.

It’s not 1 time but Everytime I go this employees do not know how to make sundae dasher.. pretty sad that they can’t follow instructions given to them by carvel on how to make sundae dasher! Today at 08/06/2023, there is a young Asian kid who has no form of professionalism. Asked him for a cone with chocolate dip and sprinkle and he couldn’t do it. After I asked him for sprinkles on side because he barely put any he scooped the sprinkles and passed it to me while all the sprinkle scattering everywhere. I’m wondering if this management is not paying or taking care of its workers correctly and they care less. This is the last and final time I will ever go to carvel.

Honeslty for me one its one of the better carvels to go to in Queens. If you really want to experience subpar service go to one by libertyave/richmond hill or the one in howard beach if you want to experience passive aggressive racism.

Owners should be embarrassed to have a store so dirty!!! I was there on 6/10 and the store was an absolute disaster! I don't know where to start. The floor was covered in toppings and garbage. The machines had ice cream splatter everywhere. I can't even describe the toppings area and how much of a mess it was. I have never in my life seen a Carvel so nasty. The banana behind the counter with blonde highlights was extremely rude. He was literally slamming the ice cream on the counter like if he was annoyed that we ordered more then 2 items. I will never go back! I rather drive down hillside to to Carvel near Williston Park!
