This is hands downs one of the best chimis in New York. The traditional chimi is very close to the chimi back in DR. The smoky flavor from the grill definitively gives it a nice touch. The Chimi Chon (roasted pork leg) is another highlight, very flavorful, good amount of meat and over all a great Chimi. Definitely recomend this place if you are looking for a great chimi.

I was really looking forward to the Yaroa after a long day, but unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The meal tasted old and overly salty, and the chicken looked anything but fresh—definitely not appetizing. The smell was off-putting too, which only made the experience worse.
Also, they barely put any sauce on it. I had to add my own ketchup just to get some flavor (you can see that in the first two pictures). I can’t speak for the rest of the menu, but if you're thinking about ordering the Yaroa, do yourself a favor and skip it—you’ll thank me later.

The chimi? Out of this world. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Just one bite and I was transported straight to El Malecón in Santo Domingo. It’s that authentic.
But it doesn’t stop at chimi—Chimito’s also offers a full lineup of Dominican favorites like yaroa and empanadas that are just as mouthwatering. Every dish is packed with flavor and made with love.
On top of that, the place is spotless, and the customer service is truly top-tier. You can tell Max and his team take real pride in every plate and every customer.

Found this little Dominican gem on my way to the Queens Night Market and had to double-back. I got the 3 golpes chimi with chinola (passion fruit) juice. Was delicious and there was a dominoes tournament happening outside. Come appreciate Dominican culture 🇩🇴
