Good coffee ☕️
I visited this cafe for the first time. The sevice was dry and can use some pep.The turkey sandwich wasn't great, too much cheese and the salad wasn't fresh. I mostly enjoyed the view and cosziness of the cafe.
I come for coffee every day - barely get a “hi”. Never acknowledged or recognized. What happened to service in NYC?! Nobody cares anymore, nobody smiles or asks how is your day going. I like their coffees and food is not bad at all but I absolutely hate the service. I think there is only one guy working who’s more or less nice, others clearly hate being there - you can just tell by looking at their unhappy grimaces. I wish there was more coffee options in the area or DAGNY chose a better employees.
How can one live in the building, want to get a coffee and not be able to sit in unless they dine in? They said you have to order food. What kind of stupidly run place is this? It’s fine if it was just too busy or something. But it was EMPTY. This building and cafe are poorly run, it must be something in the water nearby I guess. Clueless, non sensical business.
I’ve never eaten here so I can’t speak to that
But I’ve been here many times for coffee or tea
The teas here are usually ok. The hibiscus iced is really nice
The coffee is fine
The matcha is bad. Don’t order matcha here. They don’t know how to make it and it never fully dissolves into the milk
Usually the staff js usually nice. Sometimes you get staff that don’t care to be there
The space is nice- big comfortable and generally quiet
Across the street from the park and near the ferry to ues
Coffee shop is for everyone not just people who live in astoria west
The coffee was cool
Great atmosphere but terrible service from the gentleman behind the counter.
Very cozy cafe where you can read, work, relax and dine. Highly recommend their Patatas Bravas and Tiramisu Latte.
A very beautiful space with cozy sofas, interior and light. The food wasn’t something crazy about: we took potatoes, parsnip soup, and tiramisu latte, they were okay. The place by itself was a little bit dirty on the floor, and some details, as a server that didn’t know that tiramisu includes alcohol in a recipe, and the fact that the same coffee was served in different cups, brought a feeling of mess, however I want to come back for lazy mornings atmosphere.
We parked right near the main entrance, however it’s under construction zone now.
We’ve been a few times to this location, the view and ambiance is amazing! They always say on their website that there is movie night on Sunday. It’s been twice we have come and nothing was shown. I’m not sure if they ever actually do it? Kind of disappointed since we brought some friends for it. Hoping they have better communication with their employees bc when I asked the waiter he said he had no idea???? It’s on your website.
Besides that really love the place just try not to advertise events that don’t actually happen 🤗

The new chef, Chris Marcano, is wonderful. I came here before and after he was hired and I can see and taste a difference.
The style of small plates allows you to try a variety of creative and flavorful dishes. I ordered the roasted acorn squash, gambas al ajillo and roasted cauliflower. Everything I tried was amazing. Highly recommend the cheesecake for dessert!
I visited a charming cafe that offered a cozy ambiance, perfect for working, reading, or sketching. Their coffee and breakfast options were top-notch. I’m planning to return to experience their evening vibe, where they host live jazz performances and movie nights, all while sipping on a cocktail.
I stayed in NYC for a couple of months and I needed a place to work so I went to Dagny. I really loved it, because the space is huuuge and the view is so nice! On the week days they don’t have table service so you have to order in the counter, which I don’t think it’s a problem, because Franco and Amanda, the two baristas that work there, were so kind and thoughtful, they always got my order right (my go to: dirty chai and egg/cheese croissant). Of course you need common sense and order food and coffee for as long as you’re there 😅 AAAAND, the music selection is GREAT!
Food is light and delicious and the strawberry match was very good! But parking sucked!
Sleek and modern lounge-esque cafe with big tables. Would definitely be convenient for working remotely. I got an oat latte and vanilla donut which were nice and standard. My friend got the grilled cheese which she said liked too. The baristas were friendly and the service was fine too. I plan to stop by for one of their jazz nights at some point!
