a simple no frills deli in astoria thats not on ditmars blvd but i assume the owner likes the name .old school grocery shop where you can get the basic from beverages, snacks , sandwiches , etc. i stopped by on a sunday morning with time to kill until the fish and meat market opens and egg white on whole wheat toast and tropicana orange juice should keep me content until lunch time .nothing fancy after this place and thats just dandy with me.

Been going here for a few years for many miscellaneous items. Whether it was ATM, snacks, and small grocery items. The demeanor of the workers and atmosphere is always bright and welcoming; and that's an understatement in-itself. Strongly recommend!

Not my usual neighborhood, popped in for a deli sandwich and I am pleasantly surprised it’s so tasty, tomatoes …amazing flavor- YUM! The lady that prepared it was very nice and welcoming too. Thanks!

Been coming here since I was a little kid. Always had a good time coming to this store, the owner is a little shy but he makes some bomb a** BLT's and Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwiches. The prices are fair and it's easy to get what you need, that basically have everything. Shop here if u like a chill vibe and a nice shop owner.

I would give zero stars if I could. Do not shop here unless you want to support a bigot. The owner discriminated against my husband who is Puerto Rican. He came into the store (he was the only customer) wearing Timberlands and a fitted cap--NOT THAT IT SHOULD MATTER--and walked to the ice cream chest by the door. The owner walked from halfway down the store and stood RIGHT NEXT TO my husband and watched him dig around in the chest. As soon as he had a pint of Haagen Das in his hand, not even fully out of the chest, the owner said "That's $6" (which is the real crime here). My husband felt so uncomfortable he just paid and left. I went back later that evening to do a test. See, I'm a white female. I walked over to the chest, after the owner definitely saw me, and started digging around. I looked over and the owner was in his own world, paying no attention to me at all. I gave it some time and nothing. When I approached the owner explaining my test and how upset I was he said my husband is the one who has to change because he's too sensitive. I've been married 15 years and I've never heard my husband complain of discrimination since I've known him. This just makes me sick.
