We went on a Wednesday night. We were the only table for the whole night. The food is Peruvian, but same as you get in Peru, really, quite authentic. The food was ok.nothing special, nothing bad. However, we had a coeliac person in the group. The menu is terrible for coeliacs. The waitress did advise that they had nothing coeliac. In the end, we went for ceviche, which was good and some basics for non-coeliac people. Surprisingly, we were offered chicken soup for the coeliac person, the soup came with pasta. This place is great for Pisco sours, we have had them several times, but the food is nothing special unfortunately, even though we wanted it to be.

Food came out before our drinks. Not sure how that happened. I ordered the lomo saltado and there were so many fatty cartilage parts of meat I got turned off. Also my drink was wayyyy to sweet for a Margarita.

When they first opened this spot, it was great. I used to come here all the time. However, lately, the service and the food was below average. I used to love coming here for the Lomo Saltado, and not only the portions are smaller than they used to, they gave me a chewy piece of meat. I kindly told the waiter and she argued with me to the point I didn’t want to order anything. I left hungry and disappointed. Never coming back here again!

I read various reviews about Don Pollo and noticed a mix of positive and negative feedback. Deciding to give it a try, I ordered the Jalea for takeout. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The whole meal lacked flavor and was unappetizing, while the whole dish was soggy and seemed to have been made with old ingredients. I had hoped for a flavorful meal but ended up quite dissatisfied. I hope they can improve the quality of the food for a better experience in the future.
