I came for dinner on a Thursday night with my boyfriend and we had a great time. Our waitress, Valeria, was courteous and attentive. The food was soooo good. We had some ceveche and lomo saltado, and drank pisco sours. We would definitely come back again.

Found this place walking and it didn’t disappoint! Best Peruvian rotisserie chicken I’ve had, and that’s saying something in the land of Astoria. I like white meat, it wasn’t dry in the least bit. Juicy, tender and full of flavor! Even the bones had seasoning. Anticucho Especial (Beef heart skewers) were good, not my favorite. The potatoes that come with the dish though were delicious. The sangria and margarita were so good and made well. The vibe of this place was nice and the bathroom was clean. Service was great, they checked in on us often to see if we needed anything. Will be coming back.

This is the first time we are here after the renovation. The design is much improved as is the food. Ceviche was wonderful. The standard roasted chicken was perfectly done. Looking forward to coming here more often now.

I ordered two chicken noodle soups from here and they sent me a tub with two massive bones and hardly any soup. For $18 a pop you’d expect some chicken in the soup. As a Peruvian I like to frequent Peruvian joints but this is criminal. The food is typically delicious but I feel robbed at this point. Truly devastated that this will be my last order from Don Pollo.

Had the quarter chicken lunch special with soup, $17 plus tax. You have a choice of either soup, salad, or a soda. I recommend the soup. It's a bowl instead of just a cup. The entree came with fried rice which was delicious. It had little pieces of onion and egg and a great stir fry flavor. The Green sauce was savory and herbaceous. The chicken was seasoned well. The fat under the skin was rendered nicely. They even give you a little cancha to start with. My server was Valeria and she was lovely. I highly recommend this place for lunch. Excellent food, wonderful service, all for a great value
Local spot, and the ceviche is pretty good, but usual for the area, a bit overpriced - a too heavy on the onions and too light on the citrus though. Chica morada IS OUTSTANDING. Tostones come w/guac which is a good choice.
