Realllly good coffee. The ginger latte is the perfect amount of sweet. The iced coffee is not bitter at all. Also realllly good matcha. The pine-colada matcha is refreshing, the perfect drink on a hot summer day. Cold beverages are served in glass, and the presentation is well done and thoughtful. They take their time preparing it. Great place to go and read or work.
Strawberry matcha midddd asf. It’s very pretty looking tho 💔 strawberry just tastes like syrup which I paid 8.55 for 😵💫😵💫😵💫
I try to make it to ELM as many times as I can weekly. The staff is friendly and attentive. Everything on the menu is great.
I am so grateful this place exists! It’s our go-to spot, and I’m not even a coffee drinker. Everyone who works here is super kind, the food options are great, and the tea is legit. You can also tell they really love Elmhurst. Hope they’re here for a long, long time!!
I have been a loyal customer of Elm Roastery for almost two years and have always enjoyed my visits, especially the soy latte. However, I was very disappointed with today’s online order experience — not because of the staff, who were polite and helpful, but because of the process itself.
I placed an online order and paid at 10:08 AM, expecting that my two lattes would be ready when I arrived at 10:30 AM. However, after notifying the staff of my arrival, they only then began making my drinks.
When I asked how the process works and what’s the point of online order, since my expectation was apparently not met. I was told that online ordering still allows me to skip the in-store line (true but is that what a customer should expect?) but that drinks are not prepared until I check in. This was surprising and frustrating, as I had expected that placing and paying for an order 20 minutes in advance would result in it being ready upon my arrival. I would understand if several online orders were placed before mine but do not understand that I had to check in to have my drinks be prepared.
While I still appreciate Elm Roastery, this system doesn’t make much sense to me. It seems there’s no way to have my coffee ready when I get there, and it depends not only on notifying the staff but also on their immediate availability to begin making it.
Kyoto cold brew is actually worth ordering, very reminiscent of raw cacao and has very complex notes. Latte is also great, smooth. Spacious seating lots of people working on laptops or chatting. Saw some people ordering beers on tap.
Elm Roastery is a fantastic spot with a lot to offer! This spacious cafe has a wide selection of drinks and pastries, including unique seasonal items like their delicious ube-themed cakes and drinks. The bathrooms are clean, and there's even more seating available towards the back. If you're in the area, definitely try their coffee – it's excellent! Today marks their 2nd year anniversary, and they even celebrated by giving away coffee beans.
not a good coffee shop. Coffee is usually burnt because they over roast it. today I had to wait for 12 minutes for an americano. I asked the barista why did I have to wait for 12 minutes for an americo. He told me not to come back if I dont want to wait. rude.
My daughter, a former barista, says that the coffee is in her top 3 coffees ever! They know what they are doing when making coffee. I’m a tea drinker, and they know what they’re doing with tea also! A rare combination for a coffee shop!
Great little place I have frequented in the past, but... EXTREMELY slow service. I waited 15 minutes for the two men working to pour my glass of wine, even they there were no orders taken after mine, and the only orders before mine were two coffees.
