Kitchen never wants to substitute salads or veggies for fries. Literally offer a power burger with no bun but mandatory fries. What sense does that make. Tried asking several times. Very expensive even for airport foodDietary restrictions: See above, you offer no low carb meals when you won’t sub out the fries

After departing my flight I decided to grab a bite before heading home. Went to Essex and ordered a burger. I wanted BBQ sauce and crispy onions on my burger but bc you have to do everything through their computer system I wasn't able to note that in my order but the hostess standing nearby said she would tell the cook to add. Great. After traveling for 5 hours I was exhausted and decided to sit down for my order. As soon as I sat down the same hostess that I had to get up and stand outside the eatery to wait for my order. I was dumbstruck. I could see if they were crowded and neeed the seats for patrons bt there were 25-- TWENTY-FIVE-- available seats. (Yes, I counted them!). I told the hostess I just ordered a $20 burger and fries and that I was tired and would get up if there was an unexpected surge. She said she could cancel my order and have me eat in or I'd have to stand and wait. I asked her what would she do if I told her I was disabled. She said it didn't matter, if you order take out you stand and wait. So I stood and waited for my order, which took almost 20 minutes. I was vexed and I will make sure that anyone and everyone who believes and advocates for DISABILITY rights NOT patronize this business as they are clearly an ableist and ant--disability justice business. The hostess is RUDE and unporfessional! I wish I would've read the reviews beforehand because previous customers have made this clear. Next time go right up the escalator and go to Wendys or to beautiful Bubbys where you can sit and eat your take-go order without being harassed and asked to "stand outside." Oh yeah, my burger which was AVERAGE didn't even have the crispy onions that I ordered and both the burger and fries could've have used salt.

Strange quirk here- you can’t buy just French Fries. They do make and serve them, but you can’t order a side of them. Odd.

Horrible customer service, very expensive but typical for an airport. Lady at the front desk can barely speak a word of English. Her customers service skills are just as bad. For the price the food was awful. Fries didn’t even came up with ketchup or any type of sauce for the whole meal as advertised. Spoke to the manager and he as the same equal don’t care attitude. The language barrier is the least of the problems If they can compensate with good customer service / food, but Noooo Not in their simpleton minds

Servers don’t take your order. They make your order on a QR code. Terrible business model. I only ate here because of limited options surrounding restaurant.

Best experience I've had at an airport restaurant. The takeout order tablets were easy to use. The staff were polite. My burger was great. The price of a burger includes fries which offsets high airport pricing. Will be back next time I'm connecting though LGA.

Expensive, ordered and ate at the dine in tables. Others that ordered at the Kisos and then tried to sit at a table were scolded and told to move.

I’m a frequent traveler and always pleasant, polite, and patient when it comes to the service industry, being a member of it myself. I don’t often post reviews but this place warranted one.By far one of the worse customer service experience I’ve ever had— and I’ve been frequent traveler for more than three decades! The rudeness was next level & the food was nothing to write home about. It’s good thing the venue was new and clean, otherwise it would be a total fail.

The expectation vs reality ratio was way better than expected. The fries were great, service was helpful and nice, and the “Gray” inspired hot dog was damned tasty.

Stopped here on t. Came way to the gate and only had 45 min. Asked the man at the counter for carry out orders how long it would take to get a burger to go. He said 15 min. Decided to order it to go since I didn’t think there would be enough time to dine in. Placed the order and I told the man if the order came quickly we would sit at their table to eat and my husband sat at one of their tables to wait for the order. I walked about 100 yards to fill my water bottle at a water fountain. When I returned, there was a very rude woman standing near the take out counter who told me in a heavy accent that I needed to pay for the bottle of water and pointed to their cooler near the counter saying that I took the water from their cooler. I told her I was never near their cooler and I just came from the water fountain where I refilled my empty bottle. She just shook her head and did not challenge me again. A few minutes later my order was ready. Since the order arrived sooner than expected, we decided to eat at their table rather than at our gate. The same rude woman came to the table and started yelling loudly that we had to leave and could not sit there to eat because “we did not tell them in the beginning that we were going to dine in”. There were plenty of empty tables and it is not like the food came from another place. And when I placed the order the man didn’t say anything about not being able to eat there. We travel extensively throughout the US and the world and have never been treated so rudely by anyone. The food was OK for a typical $19 hamburger but because of the attitude of the staff member I would not recommend them nor will I ever return.

Reasonably pleasant looking place for an airport. Rude and inconsiderate staff. I ordered a BBQ burger for $19 after tax which is just burgers, cheese, sauce, and fried onions on top. They delivered the burger to my table, and there were no onions. I noted this to the guy at the register and he checked in and told me they ran out and went back to work. I asked if there was anything else I could get instead, and he said, "I already apologized." I pushed back because I was uncharged for fancier burger I did not receive, and he got frustrated and said he could give me more fries if I wanted. I did not.On top of this, the actual burger was dry. There wasn't a lot of sauce. They don't bring water to your table or anything and ask you to tip when you order. Every review seems to corroborate mediocre food and bad service.

Wait staff Tsering Dekyi was sooooooooo rude, mean and sour with my husband and I. We put an order in at the take out at 17:25 on 08/10/2023 on what should have been the beginning of birthday celebration. When we went to sit down we were told by Ms Dekyi if we did not order at the table we could not sit down to eat there and that we would have to order something from the QR code at the table. We had just spent $36 on a single burger and fries. We didn't know. We asked if we could just switch our order to the table and then were told we have to call the manager to cancel out the order and then reorder using the QR code at the table. Long story short we got the manager involved who saw how we were being treated. We just wanted to sit down and have a bite. Finally, the manager told us we could just sit down. As we sat, we could hear Ms Dekyi arguing with her manager in front of staff and other customers. She was not taking direction from her supervisor very well. We saw the manager calmly trying to deal with her poor behavior. Our meal was called. My husband got up and brought it to the table. When we needed ketchup and tried to flag Ms. Dekyi she totally ignored us. We knew she could hear us calling her because other patrons turned to see how she very rudely ignored us. We even shared a moment of puzzlement between patrons. My husband called her over to try to suggest that in a service job staff should try to accommodate customers. He never finished his sentence when she rudely walked away. It left a really bad taste in my mouth. I couldn't fully enjoy my meal and I wondered how many other customers Ms. Dekyi has treated poorly and that is when I decided to write to you and share my unfortunate experience. It is my hope that this employee can be retrained to give better customer service. I think Ms Dekyi should have been the one to step up and find out how we could be accommodated instead of outright rejecting us and sending us in search of the manager (who by the way was very nice and knows how to treat customers.)
