Halima at Farine's on 256th held down the fort on her own during my visit last night. She was kind, and super attentative. Her service is the main reason for the post.

As for the food, the spicy buttermilk chicken sandwich is their best item, by far. It did not disappoint this time either. Farine burger was underwhelming. Mac & Cheese was solid (could be a meal on its own). Mango drink was tasty, but for $5 the portion size is on the smaller side.

I appreciate when the Chef/owner presents us with halal dishes outside of the arena of burgers/sandwiches and more of the items that are hard to get for the halal customer-base.

We love biryani of all kinds. So we were excited to try this place. Buy two get one free. We had to asked them to heat it up bc it wasn’t warm. It ended up being all rice and very oily. I think I got one good actual piece of meat out of the three containers we bought- the rest was bones and fat. This was the second time we have gone here- we gave them two chances. No time for a third.

Bought 2 beef biriyanis, and they gave me 1 free biriyani with that. But food was stale and altogether there were less than 10 grams of beef in there!!! Very frustrating and disappointing!!!

** 0 stars for food if I could **

Very disappointed with my experience. I ordered two chicken biryanis, and upon reaching home, both were cold, not fresh, and the rice was clumped together. There was no flavor at all — honestly one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had.
I even had to reheat the food in the microwave, which is unacceptable for any eatery place for a takeout.

Definitely a place I’ll avoid in the future!

I went there to find burgers and fries or pizza as advertised and shown in pictures and it was no longer offered. They only have Indian food as a buffet by pound but nothing as advertised. It is a complete different menu.

I am always looking for halal places to have breakfast as regular diners are just pancakes and waffles, no meat. This place was amazing. The food was so delicious and the portions large - extra large for the price. We have the waffles and chicken, the seasoned chicken with naan, the best diner French toast and chicken peri peri wrap. Super delicious.

This review is for their newly opened Brunch menu :
Food - the menu is pretty extensive. There’s sweet / savory, desi Bengali / American style, and some kid options. This time around I got the Korean fried chicken and waffles which was so so so good. The chicken was fried perfectly and had a sweet gochujung maple topping. The waffle was like a scallion pancake in waffle form. Flavors went really well together! My husband got a more desi style Chaap Chaap. A Bengali style marinated and maybe pan fried chicken. It came with a super fresh and flaky paratha and some marinated cucumbers.
Space - I’d been to Farines before for random pickups but the new white coat of paint and change in the counter makes it feel fresher. The walls need some art but I heard they are working on some more upscale changes.
Service - the ladies are the counter are super sweet so no issues there.
Overall I’m so excited to have a halal cute brunch spot in the neighborhood (weekends 9-3). I can see me going back again with friends and even my parents
