The food is disgusting. They force you to pay $10 and up with card. I got steamed buns and Japanese cake. The chicken in buns tastes weird and the cake smells like it was here for a while. Got ice chocolate and it’s just water with chocolate powder. The worst $12 spend.

This bakery offers a wide selection of delicious Asian baked goods at very affordable prices. The staff work quickly and efficiently, though service is more straightforward than warm, as English isn’t their first language. The shop is kept clean, and the seating area is often filled with older regulars enjoying conversations over pastries and tea, which adds to the authentic atmosphere. Credit cards are accepted, but note there’s a $10 minimum for transactions.

My sister and I have been to this place and ordered ham and egg buns with milk tea. The food and service were good and amazing. The atmosphere was that there were people there eating, drinking, talking, stocking up the breads, and paying for the things.

They gave me a cash with a ripped corner, so I want to spend it there almost immediately. But they won’t accept it back anymore. Basically a robbery.

So we always purchase a cake for celebration. When picking up the cake the staff was nice. After picking up the cake, we refrigerated it. Later in the evening when we opened the box up we saw the strawberries had mold. It was very unfortunate.

Price has gone up considerably in recent years. You can see it in the price of cake. It must be profitable enough for this brand/chain, because I see Fay Da bakeries springing up in a bunch of other places.

Mentally I'd put Fay Da as a middle-of-road Chinese bakery, both in terms of price and quality of food. Of course, it is still MUCH CHEAPER and better bang for buck than super overpriced, pretentious Paris Baguette.
