We enjoyed everything about our visit to Fresco's Grand Catina. The dishes were beautifully presented, the atmosphere was lively yet relaxing, and the service was top-notch. A complete experience!
As always the food and drinks and service was amazing. The drag brunch talent is unequaled. I did have one question which never got resolved. I ordered a side salad. When it arrived there was no salad dressing on it. I asked for dressing as the salad was dry. A waiter said “ it's an extra charge.” I thought what? I didnt ask for extra dressing . I only asked for dressing which I never got. I was with friends so I quietly asked why? I didnt get any dressing. The waiter came back with the dressing and never answered my question. I was treated to brunch so I never saw if I was charged nor how much. The waitress we had was amazing so I didn't want to make an issue. The only thing ever to happen at a perfect restaurant that I go to a lot.
Amazing gay friendly restaurant! We went for the dinner and show for RuPaul's Drag Race- was fun, welcoming and the food was amazing. The perfect Friday night out!
My wife and I came in for dinner on a Friday night. We made reservations because it was recommended, and it was a good thing we did — the place was packed. On some Thursday and Friday nights, the restaurant has a DJ, viewing parties, and live shows, and Sunday brunches are busy, so it's important to check their events calendar before you visit. The service was superb. Fast, friendly, and precise. The food was amazing; we started with a special appetizer, the Qui Mama, which is a deep-fried avocado fried in panko breading; and a regular menu appetizer, the Tamal de Frida, which is polenta topped with slow-cooked pork, queso fresco, and sauces. The tamal was excellent; the qui mama was superb. For an entree, we had tacos. The Sesame Ginger Chicken tacos were sweet like teriyaki, and the Dos Cochinitas (crispy pork belly) were delectable. Paired with our meal were drinks — my wife had the La Secreta red sangria, which she loved. I ordered the El Rey (cognac, pineapple juice, lime juice, and amaretto). It was splendid. For dessert my wife had the tres leches, which was great, and I had the lava cake with raspberry syrup, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. It was, in a word, sublime. The atmosphere is fun, but it can get really loud on event nights, so remember to check the restaurant's online schedule when you plan your visit. But definitely plan a visit: this is fantastic food in a great environment, in a fun neighborhood, not to be missed! Best accessed via the N/W subway line, whose 30th Avenue stop is just 50 feet away. Parking in the area can be tricky on weekends, so mass transit is the way to go unless you live in the area.
Frescos is our favorite local spot for brunch as well as a casual dinner. Ambience and service are always a 10/10 and when they have a show you'll want to stay for a second seating
I have been here once but love ordering the food to enjoy at home. The quality is amazing and tastes so good, and you get a lot of food! Highly recommend checking it out or ordering from here.

Went for a meetup for friends during happy hour. Service drinks and food all solid. Only thing that sucked was they wouldn’t split the bill for our group by person which led to a short term headache. Some people ate like rabbits and others drank like fish so splitting evenly wasn’t optimal. Overall though I enjoyed my experience and would def go back. Music was a bonus and a whole vibe my fav part of my experience. Oh and super LGBTQIA+ friendly.

It's probably one of my favorite places in Astoria! I love the food, the atmosphere and the drinks! 10/10! It is the perfect place if you want to have fun with friends or family.
Thanks to the guys at the bar, Daniel, Bam and Adrián for making me have a good time when I went alone! ✨✨

Had my birthday party in the Frida Khalo room. Brian could not have been easier to work with. Extremely reasonable rates for a group of 30, delicious and plentiful buffet, Daniel the bartender was on point all night. Staff kept checking in about sound, temperature, and anything we needed. I 100% recommend this place for your party. Had an absolute blast and bonus drag show downstairs!

Would have left a better review. Unfortunately, the service was very spotty. Menus are still on a QR code, unless everyone at the table has a phone not everyone sees the menu. A real menu is nice so we can all look together and make our choices. Talked to the busser more than my server. We were the only table in the restaurant. We were overcharged for two of our items. This was corrected. However, as I was looking at the receipt I was charged a technology fee. What is a technology fee? The waiter couldn't tell me what is was. When I asked to speak to a manager they were too busy with 1 table and 5 people at the bar. The waiter brought cash to the table to pay for the fee. I was mortified! That wasn't the point. I simply wanted an explanation. Needless to say this left a very bad taste in my mouth. We won't be back!
