Galo Tavern18 - Restaurant & Bar

This is one of my favorites restaurant great food, great service and atmosphere is always pleasant. Try the lamb chops. I promise you won’t regret it.

Absolutely the perfect neighborhood restaurant amazing service ....appetizers, steaks , Seafood and pasta dishes!! never get tired of the menu everything is always great ! Highly recommend !! Rd.

A cackling patron made for a less than pleasant experience. But one can't help the bad manners of others. Great hamburgers and delicious fries were what we were after and achieved. Service was on point and glasses were refilled.

I had dinner and brunch here. Good food . They don’t rush you out and it’s a good neighborhood restaurant ?

The place was great and so was the food. It took over 20 minutes for our waiter to approach the table to serve us drinks and food. When we were seated we did advise that we were waiting on other ppl to arrive but we weren’t waiting to order. The only reason we were served was because we flagged another waiter and stated that it’s 6:30pm, and happy hour end at 7 and we were still going to be granted the same prices since we sat for 20 Minutes without anyone approaching our table. When we were served, we had to order 2 of everything as our waiter stated in order for us to be able to order the happy hour menu. Unfair to us since we were rushed due to no fault of ours. Around 730 we were approached by the waiter and was told we were getting the bill because she was getting ready to leave. We paid on a credit card and had her cash tip on the table. Minutes after she picked up the check, she came back and said we never tipped her and demanded her tip. We handed her the cash so she at that point can get out of our faces. She was the worst waiter we ever had. After all was said and done another friend joined us at 8 and just wanted to order Mac and cheese to go, and she was never even approached to ask if she wanted something to drink. She left with us without ordering anything since she sat for a good 15 minutes and no one came to even greet her. Throughout the night no one checked on the table but had the audacity to demand a tip. First and last time. The plan never was to go to Tavern 18 but because Kpacho was closed on Monday, we ended up here. Next time we will plan for a Tuesday when Kpacho is open. Never had a bad experience there.

First time dining at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I went there with two clients for a late lunch today and sat in the main dining room. Lorena greeted us and was pleasant and allowed us to sit at any table. We ordered the garlic shrimp and the lobster and shrimp spring roll which were both delicious. That was followed by the French dip au jus sandwich ordered by my client and two orders of the grilled basil chicken for my other client and me. The chicken sandwich was very tasty and moist. It complemented with light and crispy French fries. The French dip sandwich was also tasty and enjoyed by my client.

The staff were very friendly, accommodating and gave us our space to order our food when we were ready without rushing us. The interior decor was rustic and very relaxing. With dark wood throughout and a nice fireplace in the middle of the main dining room…

I will definitely be back with my family and friends. Im interested in giving brunch a shot and trying the other menu options which all look and sound delicious….

Our server Marissa was sweet, professional. Quick to take our order and serve the food. She was attentive but not overbearing. She let us enjoy our meal and our company. The food at Galo never disappoints. Even the bread they serve is insanely delicious.

Always a pleasure visiting tavern 18. The whole family loves it and we will continue to make it a staple in our eating out plans. Staff and food are both wonderful and the atmosphere. Lovely.

I have ordered before for lunch and dinner food has always been amazing. I ordered the prime dry aged ny steak with broccoli and mashed potatoes. There was a huge piece of silver silverkin in my steak and it wasn't very brown. It did not taste prime or dry aged meat was tough. The garlic was undercooked in the broccoli and there were huge chunks of potatoes in my mashed potatoes. This is not the quality I expect from this restaurant, if I was an Applebee's then maybe. My order was from today please hold the cook accountable for their actions.
