Absolutely disgusting customer service from the cashier. She’s a light skin Jamaican Lady. Rushing you to order and talking to you like a child very inappropriate. POOR SERVICE!!! Look out for that monster lady!!!

Sad to say the new owners are absolutely NOT Jamaican and know nothing about us. Clearly this is a business they purchased and that’s it. Ordered the simplest thing, jerk chicken, rice and peas with oxtail gravy. Everything tasted like barbecue sauce. This is the final chance I’m giving them. Last time, I ordered curry goat and the color was off. It was a grayish, brown, and green and tasted like garbage. Keep Jamaican food Jamaican. Zero stars.

Absolutely Terrible Experience
Worst experience I’ve ever had ordering food. I placed an order through Uber Eats, and after waiting, I was told the restaurant did not even have my order. Instead of fixing the issue on their end, they tried to pressure me into canceling, knowing full well I would still be charged.
When I called the store, the woman who answered was extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful—acting like she didn’t understand the situation at all. She then passed the phone to another employee who was just as rude. No one took responsibility, no one canceled the order, and they completely wasted my time.
Uber Eats told me the restaurant needed to cancel since they couldn’t fulfill the order, yet Golden Crust refused to do so. This felt intentional and dishonest.
Horrible customer service, nasty attitudes, zero accountability. If you value your time or money, do not order from this location.

The food is fresh & tasty and the staff are very nice. The venue is extremely small and the lines are usually long. They also regularly run out of menu items in the evening, but that is not surprising with the number of people they serve.

An authentic Jamaican experience in New York. The beef patties are superb and they are available in chicken and vegetable varieties. Stwpping into the store automatically transfers one to the island. Soft drinks, hard dough bread and a choice of island cooked food. Jerk chicken, ox tail and the works. Consistently good stuff.

The workers that serve the food are so rude with a hostile mentality. Get mad if you ask questions regarding food options and other simple stuff. Ive experienced it several times at this location. If zero star was an option that would be my

Servers have terrible attitudes which is the norm for most Jamaican establishments unfortunately, but at this particular location, they’re weird as well.

On several occasions I went to this location an hour or 2 hours before closing, and asked for Oxtail and or beef patties. I can see through the glass, so I see that there is oxtail still on the line, and an adequate amount to say the least. The server looks me dead in my face and says there is no more oxtail, as they stir the deep dish with the oxtail in it. Same with the beef patties, I see them in the hot box because it has a glass door- server looks at me and says, “no more patty”. This is because they stop making food at a certain time and servers take home what’s left over, so they try to prevent customers from finishing what’s left so they can then take home food. I hope management reads this

WORSE GOLDEN KRUST EVER
Today is September 7, 2025. I went to this Linden branch, Cambria at approximately 1pm. I state this so that the owner will know who was on the shift.
I have never in my life encountered such rude and disrespectful women in a business place. When I entered no customer was there. I got a ginger beer and a loaf of hard dough bread. By then a lady came and ordered a patty and I think a soup. I stood at the cashier right in front of the door. There were two women behind the counter so I kept saying a spicy beef please and they ignored me. Two men came in right behind each other. The bigger body woman said who is next and I repeated, a spicy beef please, however, they served the man and started arguing with me because I said I am next and repeated my order. The coolie one took me on how I am the devil and I am coming from church and if I want to fight. I told her that I have never fought in my life. I think the devil was really testing me. I don’t curse but they had a problem with me expressing myself. I told her the customer service was not good. I walked out and a man who got served before me called me back and apologized because he knows that I was there before him. However, the two sketels behind the counter would not stop. I gave one star just so that I could write the review. My friends and family definitely will not be doing business there.
If they are frustrated with their job don’t take it out on the customers. Leave!
