Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

I’ve heard so many bad things about this place, particularly the attitude of the staff, but I just decided to try it myself.I walked into golden crust on Jamaica Ave near 164th wanting to buy a patty. When i walked in, the lady with the glasses looked right at me. I got on the line and waited to buy a patty. When I reached the front, the tall lady said with an attitude,no cutting the line miss. I was like what? Then the lady with the glasses asked if I was on the line, also with a weird attitude . I said yes. Then both ladies proceeded to ask the whole store if I was online or not. So I refused to spend money there and I just walked out. DO NOT GO THERE. The attitudes and humiliation was unnecessary for some patties 🙄. if I could give zero stars I would.

The jerk pork is amazing! It's worth noting, the portion for the price is all good. And the very nice lady at the register even gave me extra jerk sauce... Service with a smile for sure. I recommend.

Golden Krust never disappoints! The food is full of flavor and hits the spot every time. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone craving delicious Caribbean dishes. When you go, make sure to mention AL sent you and give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

Food here is decent. But the lady at the register, needs to seriously work on her customer service skills. Gives an attitude, as if she's doing you a favor.My patty was already bagged, and ready for me to pay. I was getting one item.She wants to cross check if I was in the line. A group of women came after me. There was one man infront, he told me to go ahead, as he had a long order, still being prepared.But the way she asked, was if I did something wrong. Just a lot of unnecessary attitude.I prefer the spot, closer to the train station. Better , more friendly workers.

I spent almost a $100.00 at golden Krust and my daughter wanted to use the bathroom and these MF gonna tell me there's no bathroom for customers? They literally had the keys for the bathroom I saw with my bare eyes a young boy who when inside the bathroom with keys.. if I knew this would have been the outcome I wouldn't buy a darn thing from them. They willing to take the money though. I've never been this upset and disgusted like this!!

I bought a large Curry Goat $20, it was was sooo tasteless, the rice is all clumped up. It definitely wasn’t worth the money!!

I just left this Golden Krust and I had a horrible experience. I was in there for merely 30 seconds hlwever within this 30 seconds alot went down. The staff was awesome however not a smile on none of their faces..(which I blame their managers horrible work attitude for this)
the manager who was cleaning the floor with NO GLOVES had a huge issue with how slow the guy behind the counter was putting my patty together. She yells at him infront of a full restaurant to "hurry up" but like lady thats not how you talk to people and treat YOUR staff that break their back everyday while you sit in a ac room still somehow being miserable. I'm in my car now, feeling bad for the workers and ready to eat my patty. Now why in the world was there LITERALLY A PIECE OF IDEK WHAT THIS IS in my coco bread and patty. How hard is it to just put a bun and a patty together? Why are you constantly yelling at your staff? Go yell at your kids. Sincerely from a previous restaurant staff member with a boss like you, I hope you keep updating indeed or get savvy with Craigslist. I don't blame your young staff for constantly being rotated in and out. Change yuh attitude and stop being so raggedy.
