I was in the area last night and passed Hacks. This was my first time here. I had Guyanese food like two years ago from an establishment further down the block. I got a small chicken chow mein. It was $10 but I used card and the fee came up to $11.22. I was told the large was $2 more. They gave me pholourie and bara to try which was nice of them. I only tried the pholourie so far. The paper bag they were in was really greasy. Overall, the staff was nice and I enjoyed the chow mein,and the hot sauce was a nice touch.

Very nice. Good pastries and egg balls. I have to make a slight change here since my last review because I came in and got a small container of food and 2 pieces of chicken and I also purchased some pastry. i got a sticker shock when the lady said it was $30. I am not sure what is going on there but they need to improve. The food had a very limited amount of chicken and they charged $6 for 2 extra pieces separate. Someone was also complaining about the wait time so they need to improve that also.

Terrible experience. Hacks Halal called me after accepting my Uber Eats order to say they didn’t have what I ordered. When I asked them to cancel, they claimed they “couldn’t,” which forced me to cancel myself and I was charged $20 because of their mistake.
Uber couldn’t help, and when I called the restaurant back, the staff was rude, unprofessional, and said no manager was available. Avoid this place zero accountability and horrible customer service.

I am very disappointed! I ordered and paid for a large tray of pone and got the quater size tray instead. I reached out and the manager was argumentative and defensive and did not resolve the matter. My business here was no longer welcome!

Hacks fry rice is always delicious,the best around ,I will always give them a 5 star ,perfect in flavour ,the chicken is so moist and tasty also very affordable and fresh .
