Great Food
This is the delicious heavenly meal that my mother used to make. I highly recommend it.
I ordered pig's trotters and ate them, but for the first time in my life, I saw pig's trotters bent as if they had been grilled, and it smelled so much that I ate one piece and threw it away. The owner and his wife were also ticked off, and the service was bad, tasteless, and even unfriendly.

Hole in the wall, popular with local locals. Mom pop and son outfit.
They only sell what’s fresh. Sometime items are not available. Good value good food, don’t expect a fancy dining experience.

I enjoyed the loach soup.
I had no appetite so I ate it for lunch and it was so delicious that my back was sweating.
I recommend spicy and hot chueotang when you are feeling low and have no appetite.

TLDR: If you're looking for that local hole in the wall - this is a great spot. Stick with the soups and definitely get that spicy pork bulgogi aka jaeyuk bokkeum.
It's tiny and it's a husband/wife team, so if you're trying to be in/out; not the place for that. I've been back twice and I loved it both times.
The dakgaejang (spicy chicken soup) was one of my favorite things. The broth is very flavorful and there's a lot of spice in it. They have some more traditional soups like the black goat or loach. So if you're in a soup and rice mood, this will hit.
Definitely get the jaeyuk bokkeum. The way they slice the pork here and stir-fry it with the larger onion dice - it's very unique and just so good.
NYC needs more places like this. I will return again for sure and try some of the other items on the menu.

Pork belly, duck loin, sundae soup, radish radish... it's probably the best in flushing. Just looking at the plentiful meal makes me SO HAPPY! Well, the atmosphere of the restaurant is a bit fuzzy, but I felt the taste of my mother's cooking. It's great to see the two of you being so sweet and kind, like older sisters and older brothers.

Because the rumor is spreading...I went to eat with friends. The food was average and felt like eating home-cooked food.I took my two kids there and ordered food separately, but the atmosphere was not welcoming at all. It's quite blunt and unfriendly so I don't think I'll ever go again.

A traditional Korean restaurant with an atmosphere reminiscent of a long-established Korean restaurant. The small store has only 7 small tables. It's been a long time since the rumor spread, so it's crowded from morning to evening, but parking in front of the store isn't that difficult. Food that tastes like a traditional Korean restaurant and is not spicy has a healthy taste. If you want, add sancho powder to the light loach stew. Next time, I plan to go for the roast duck ($125. Serves 4). I'm already looking forward to it.

This is the kind of place you don't tell others about out of fear it will lose the close knit community vibes. The store looks like one of those kisasikdang(driver's diner) tucked away in the margins of Seoul or a corner no one knows about. The owners are very proud of their food (don't ask for yeolmoo guksoo before it's hot summer, they might give you a friendly sass about how eating food that is in season is important) and it shows in the flavor profile.Don't come here expecting white tablecloth service, but if you grew up eating jipbap(home cooked meals) you will taste the love and care poured into every menu and little banchans.Today I got loach kalguksu, which I've never seen anywhere else, and it was so warming and delicious. I can't compare because I've only had loach here my whole life, but others who are familiar with the dish say their loach tang is better than in Korea. My friend who had yukgaejang also had a great meal--it was not super salty or full of msg(often the case in other restaurant) and full of beef and veggies.I also love their duck BBQ (make sure to get makgeoli to go with it) but they only do BBQ for dinner.

A hidden gem!! This is a no frills, authentic home style korean restaurant. It only has 6 tables and filled with middle aged people who knows how good this place is. Please be gentle with the owners who are the chefs and waiter staff and work nonstop throughout the day. The kitchen is nicely organized and clean. This really is a hidden but authentic place.

Cozy Korean restaurant that specializes in seriously good stews. i was recommended the goat stew and it was hearty and flavorful. I also got the spicy chicken stew which is yook gae jang but with chicken. The ban chan ( free side dishes ) was great as well and paired nicely with the stews.Such a great place to warm up and fill up on delicious healthy stews. They have heated benches which felt amazing since I came during cold winter day during a snow squall.
