🚫 “Hello Bangladesh” in Astoria? More like Goodbye Appetite. Walked in with high hopes, walked out with regrets and a stomach full of disappointment. We ordered: – 2 goat biryanis – 2 chicken lollipops – 1 momo – 1 yogurt After sitting for over 15 minutes, we realized most of our food hadn’t even arrived. My friend went to grab samosas himself like it was self-service. When we asked the server where the rest was, another guy came over and said, “We made it and put it back.” 🤡 Huh?? What does that even mean? Cooked food and tossed it in reverse? When the food finally came, the goat biryani smelled like it was marinated in regret — stale, off, and probably made when Nokia was still cool. The momos were bone-dry, and the chicken lollipops looked radioactive with all the red dye dumped on them. Even worse? We ordered two half goat biryanis and got served a full and a half. Had to point it out like we were auditing their kitchen. And to top it all off — the table next to us sounded like a political debate club straight from a tea stall. Loud, annoying, and totally unbothered by the disaster being served. This wasn’t a meal — it was a health hazard. If the NYC health inspector isn’t knocking soon, I’d be shocked. Rotten food. Zero service. Total chaos. Save your stomach, your time, and your peace — skip this mess. Adios, Hello Bangladesh. Never again.

Kala Bhuna had great flavoring! Beef curry wasn't good.
Both meats were pretty tough.
Chicken lollipop was good too.

A little pricy. You're looking at ~$25 for a meal (2 half portions and a rice)

This Bengali restaurant is amazing! It was recommended to us by someone who told us about great authentic Bangladeshi food. Come and eat here now!

Steam table bengali food. Simple presentation, eating environment but very good food and very large selection. Much better that what you could have gotten in the same neighborhood 5 years ago.

Food is authentic and very good. Staff is courteous and the prices of the items are reasonable - and competitive considering there are two other similar restaurants in the same avenue that I frequent - but wanted to try out this restaurant which is fairly new. The ambience could be a bit more spruced up - the high windows during the day, lights up the dining space and it would be nice to have the staff pull down the shades to reduce the glare...but everything else about this place is good.

Really good and authentic Bangladeshi food in Astoria. I like that they have a lot of space to eat as well, we got the Tehari + roast and both dishes were so tasty. We are even thinking to go back tonight with our parents. Good spot!

2 words, Kala Bhuna. Had to try after enjoying the home cook version. It is delicious, finger licking good. Highly recommend. Went with the rice and chicken too. Place was clean. Plenty of seating. Service was friendly and very patient as we looked at the hot food and decided what we wanted.
