How unfortunate to leave a poor review in a local biz but I hope it inspires a shift. We deal with this joint because it’s the closest in the neighborhood. While your flavors are there, I’ve been dealing with your smaller portions and higher prices since you’ve reopened. 3 wontons in a small clear broth is what you call wonton soup. With hardly any meat inside. Today I wanted crispy noodles to put in my lobster sauce so I gladly paid an xtra $.50. After waiting, we find out you misheard me and made shrimp fried rice. I had to wait a few more mins for the mistake to be corrected and then you wanted me to pay the difference. For your misunderstanding. I was stunned. I get takeout almost weekly from you. But you then waved me off and muttered something about how you have to take the hit. I get home to an empty bag without sauces, napkins(which you don’t add automatically anymore) all because I didn’t think I should pay the two dollar difference. Actually $1.50 because you didn’t include the noodles that I paid for. So for $1.50 you lost a regular customer. Consider this-be less cheap with your portions and more courteous and loyal to your neighbors who have supported you for decades. I’ve been coming to this neighborhood takeout since I was a kid and they were down the block. I remember cracking the corners of my mouth on your Szechuan fried wontons, which were huge and crispy and garnished with green onions. It was a special that hung on your wall written simply on a piece of paper. You will see the pictures of what pathetic version they are today and for double the price . This goes for their chicken lo mein that has just chicken and cabbage in it and they call it lo mein. If you don’t believe me, go in order for yourself. And then compare it to all the other takeouts. I’m sorry to do it to a local business but shame on you . I will miss Tinley and her brother they were always the nicest.

The food is too oily and the chicken slices are too big. (The cutting is too chunky that makes the food not appealing. ) Their refrigerator is very annoying when you dine in because from time to time it makes rumbling noise. The workers practice double standard in pricing and when try to point it out to them, they never admit it. If you decide to eat here, good luck with that!

I hate to post a negative review, especially from this place where I’ve eaten numerous times. However last time I ordered from here, while eating my food I bit into something really hard. To my surprise it was a piece of a blade that I guess may have fallen off. Luckily I bit into flat part of the blade I guess or else I could have been seriously harmed or even died! When I called to inform them they were remorseful and promised to refund my order, however after 5 days they still hadn’t done so. I understand mistakes happen, but this mistake could have honestly been fatal and thus I will not be ordering from here anymore.
Best in area. Hands down.
Most dishes better then everywhere else. So why go anywhere else?

I asked the gentleman on the phone to explain the difference between double cooked pork and boneless spare ribs. He said “well we can waste more time explaining it to you or you can try it yourself” without further elaboration. In that case, check out Amy’s off bell blvd. They won’t berate you for asking a basic question and make double the portions.

The food is good and fresh here , communication is friendly and very clear with a strong command of the English language which is not often the case in other places. The chicken and broccoli and boneless spare ribs are among the best I have ever had.
