Yummy dinner with exceptional service. Enjoyed many appetizers shared with our group. Loved the seafood salad and pasta with mushrooms. Everyone enjoyed their mains including: Scallops, Bronzino, Pork Chop and others. Our server Brian was attentive and knowledgeable. Special recognition to Candace who goes the extra mile to ensure every guest feels the warm vibe the minute they arrive. All that and our large group made our 8 pm curtain with ease! This is not our first time and it will NOT be our last visit to Hunt and Fish.

Over all my experience was a great one. I had dinner with my husband and son. To start, we ordered the bone marrow, beef carpaccio, and eggplant parm. The bone marrow was okay, it contained for too many bread crumbs which masked the bone marrow flavor. The carpaccio was okay as well and so was the eggplant parmigiana. We continued with having scallops, 10 oz filet mignon, and whole branzino. The entrees were okay as well.

This was my first time there; won't be the last. Staff-every one of them- was courteous, efficient and caring. They were very careful to find out if we had time constraints since we were there before curtain time in the theater district. Food was great. The ambience is old school- calm, relaxing, beautiful.

The shrimp appetizer was pretty good. The special drink was a little larger than a shot. Very disappointing for a $20 drink. Fish tasted like it was frozen and not high quality. My steak was over done and so tough I could not eat it. I sent it back for another and it came out raw after 25 minutes. The first steak was very poor quality and not with the $70+. I have had better steak at Outback or even airline food. Would never go back or recommend that restaurant to anyone. It was all flash and poor food. Staff was nice but the kitchen needs some serious work. I have had better meals at Olive Garden. I left starving and literally had to get street vendor food. I was so looking forward to an amazing meal in NYC and was left in complete disappointment.

I took my mom here for dinner for her 50th birthday . The staff was kind and welcoming , our waiter was helpful also . I've been here twice before which is why i returned . We enjoyed our food . I honestly only put 4 stars because i absolutely didn't like any of the sauces provided for the steak . This isn't even just from me being a chef . None of us liked the sauces . However , our steak , sides , and drinks were made to perfection and i will be back still

Attractive space with cozy, comfortable bar. Great service. Since this is the second time I have eaten here I would say the food is not consistent; a whole branzino looked like a large sardine! The popovers and chicken dish are delicious. The desert was not fresh tasting. All in all, I found this restaurant to be overpriced and would not need to try again.

Excellent crab cakes - and cheesecake for dessert. The staff is outstanding and there is a great bar you can get a drink before dinner.

It looks like they have a new Chef. There were marked differences in preparation from the past many times we have dined there, but still good.

Always reliable (quality of service & meal). The Hunt & Fish Club has been out "go to" for pre-theater dining and post-theater cocktails for years. The best popovers in NYC.

Cameron

Great evening at HFC, return customers, service is impeccable and the food outstanding. It's also a beautiful room.

Lipton

Amazing from the popovers to the latte and everything in between. Haven't been there in years but will definitely add it to our pre-theater rotation.

This was the only sit down restaurant for food in the area where our gate was. It was fairly early around 7am so it wasn't busy at all. We (family of 3) waited to be seated and after a few minutes of employees just passing us by, I asked if we need to seat ourselves or just wait. They said to just seat ourselves. We sat down and after about 5 minutes without anyone coming up to us I made eye contact with one of the employees passing us by on the way to the kitchen, I waived and said hi, and she said hi and passes us. Another few minutes passed and again, two more employees passed us by, just giving a glance and continued to find something else to do than tend to their customers. It was around a total of 10 minutes without any interaction, other than the initial question about seating so we left. Dont know how the food is but if it is as bad as their service, I would suggest to go somewhere else. By far the worse service in NY.

For the price ($50 for salad with chicken and one beer) I was expecting much, much better quality food and service. Should have checked the reviews sooner
