We stopped at the ice cream window tonight. As we walked up at 7:55 pm, the A-frame read: last day. The music inside got louder as we approached the window; they were playing Lorde’s ‘Supercut’. We were the last customers of the day, the last customers of the season. The two people still working asked if we’d like to try anything, so we did—the ‘Linden’ was all gone, but they told us it was named after the Linden tree, which grows on the streets of Ridgewood beyond the Window. They harvest the flowers in June and use it to make ice cream during the months that follow. Another woman who worked there came up and joined our conversation—she said the Linden tree grew natively in her homeland, Poland, and the smell reminded her of childhood. We ended up trying the Brown butter, Waldmeister, Guava and Passionfruit. Everything was decadent. Ice cream window 4ever

Make sure to bring cash or set up your Venmo account when you visit the Ice Cream Window. $5 a scoop in either a cup or a cone, $3 for each additional scoop of this delicious ice cream made in Brooklyn but sold at this Ridgewood, Queens window. Very popular with the locals during the summer. A range of interesting flavors which change frequently. The most up-to-date flavors can be found on their Instagram page. There is very limited seating outside (a bench and a few chairs) and no inside seating. If there are no seats available outside the shop, there is a park nearby if you wanted to sit and eat your ice cream.

Great little spot for a quick treat. Great flavors that change regularly. Staff is friendly and there’s often a line. Cash or Venmo accepted.
