I picked it up and ate it at home, but the jjamppong noodles were not soggy at all. The fried rice and jajangmyeon were also very good. The owner is very kind and above all,The price is too much haha

I always pass by on my way to work and wanted to see what was inside. I was a little disappointed when I finally went in because they did not have any of the lunch boxes or side dishes advertised from the pictures outside of the store. The front table was pretty empty with only a few rolls. Nothing freshly made even though it says robot fast food. They had more variety of kimchi and pickled vegetables in the fridge. I went on Sunday around lunch time so I don't think it was sold out already just nothing to buy.

It's not hard to find a Korean supermarket or restaurant in this area, but Mat Sarang stands out in its superb freshness, quality and customer service! Don't be fooled by the modest storefront - inside, the store boasts a wide variety of authentic Korean side dishes that are reminiscent of Umma/halmoni's (mom/grandma's) cooking. Even the classic kimbap tastes especially yummier here. My favorite is the kimchi jeon (kimchi pancakes). The pre-packaged meals are so good too and offered at an excellent price point! Portions are just like how mom would pack... to the brim; they don't skimp here. Catering seems to be their specialty so I'm going to try that for the holidays and family gatherings. I would highly recommend giving them a try, especially now since they make hodu-gwaja (Korean walnut pastry filled with red bean and walnuts) on site and it's perfect for colder months... so yummy!

If you are ever in the mood for great Korean side dishes, stop by! Owner is super friendly and the food always superb. They also have lunchboxes and kimbab, and a variety of Korean rice cakes for dessert.

Located in a quiet neighborhood (a few blocks away from H Mart), this is a great place to stop by for Korean side dishes, lunchboxes, kimbap and rice cakes. Owner is super friendly and food is always good. Vegetarian options also available. Definitely a neighborhood gem!

New Korean food store selling pre-made and packaged Korean home-style foods. Coming in here, I felt such warmth like I just walked into my favorite Auntie's kitchen. Pretty good, homemade Korean food here! The owner chef there is so super friendly! They mostly do catering, but the store is filled with pre-made packaged goodies of all sorts, from savory to sweet. Kimchee, Jokbal (marinated pock hock), pickled cucumbers, seaweed salads, kimbap (rice rolls filled with meat and veggies), and so many other goodies that I don't know the name of but looked good. This is the type of authentic Korean food that is normally eaten at home. Korean desserts: There is a table full of different authentic Korean style sweets. Tried out the ham kimbap which was loaded with filling. Fresh tasting and tasty. Also tried cucumber salad which had the perfect amount of sweetness, tartness and spiciness. A gift with purchase! Free bottle of hand sanitizer. The owner chef is so super nice, I hope their business does well. Their corner store is in a rather quiet area. Though they are a few blocks from Hmart supermarket. I'm definitely coming back here, to try more food!

Brand new. When I walked in, they informed me they just opened the day prior. They even had trouble navigating some of the prices on the register, but overall, were very helpful and nice. They have an area just for side dishes, and some main dishes in the middle. When I came, they were still cooking, so the ideal time to go is around 12:30 - 1:00 to see what they have to offer.
