Apart from being a place with bad attention, too. It is a bad place to work, the new administration leaves a lot to be desired. For a year now I have been trying to collect my salary, that is something that corresponds to me for my work and the man, the new owner acts as if he does not understand, he does not even respond to the messages ..hopefully other people don't have the bad experience I'm having!!

AWFUL!
The food was super tasteless, the meat didn't even have salt. My friend even got sick to her stomach. Apart from the terrible service, the girl didn't even know what she was doing and was also very slow. And finally we had to pay for the bad service.

The hospitality and service here is not a true reflection of the Paraguayan culture. The identity of the restaurant is confusing. Let me explain….

I was excited to try jakaru (which means, let’s eat in guaraní) because there are limited Paraguayan food options in New York/all the United States. Upon walking in, despite there being Paraguayan flags on the tables, it did not feel authentic. Looking through the menu, not a lot of Paraguayan options. It felt more Venezuelan; As there were more food options that represent Venezuela.

Paraguay is already under represented in the U.S. — it’s rare to find a Paraguayan restaurant, why make it a fusion with another country? We don’t eat arepas, what are huevos pericos??

The name of the restaurant, the flags, the Yerba mate and remedios yuyos being sold here is Paraguayan, but the majority of the food and hospitality/service is not!

This place is super nice and clean! Very modern with really nice waiters who accommodate the littlest asks. Had the soccer game going with sound which was awesome!

We would come back

We waited about 40 min for our food. Which is bad enough. But I also waited about 35 min for my margarita, and my husband waited about 38 for his piña colada. Which is crazy for drinks at a bar that’s NOT busy. Moderate business at best.

Also, we ordered the tequeños, which were 5 for $10 on the menu. We got only two. Twenty minutes after we got our food (aka, an hour plus after walking into the restaurant) one of the waitresses/bartenders asked me if I wanted the 3 remaining tequeños that we didn’t get. I said no, because I didn’t want to waste another 45 minutes waiting for them. But when I got the check, I was unbelievably still charged FULL PRICE for the 2/5 tequeños that we got. Terrible service. Would NOT come back!

I just went to buy something to take home and they gave me anything except what I ordered, it's a shame (I paid for chipa guazu and sopaso'o they gave me rice with lentils and mashed potatoes) which I wanted from a restaurant

Service is absolutely ATROCIOUS. It seems as if the serving staff is inconvenienced by the work, they have very nasty attitudes. They also have the "girls" (as they are called by owner) give preferential treatment to most of their male patrons. Rumor around the neighborhood is this place runs a brothel here at night ??‍♀️ wouldn't be the first and won't be the last in the area!

I went on a Thursday at 6 in the afternoon, I stood there for about 10 minutes and there was no one, nothing more than two men who I imagine were customers and no one ever came, I had ordered here before and the order they gave us was the wrong one but I wanted to give it another chance because the empanadas were good but after this I won't go back again. For a practically new place, customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

The food is delicious, but they deliver the orders poorly, something is “always” missing or it is not what I ordered. Until now I haven't had a single order where they haven't made a “wrong.” It's strange, isn't it?

Bad service, they delay, they deliver orders poorly or incomplete, they answer messages late or they don't respond to calls at all. Unfortunately I do not recommend.
