Craving a taste of home

We decided to satisfy it with some classic Filipino dishes and this place always did not disappoint. We ordered our all time favorite, the sisig na bangus, which was incredibly tender and full of flavor. The sinigang na baka and pancit bihon made the perfect pairing. Don't forget to order turon with ice cream after hahaa it really melts in your mouth. Service is amazing. One of the best Filipino restaurants in Queens NY.

Highly recommend!

The place and their service are fine, I’m just being honest, the foods taste ordinary, they need a new cook , a cook with the better taste bud.

we ordered a tray of pancit palabok. The flavor was lacking quite a bit. I really think they need to add more sauce and perhaps a bit more fish sauce

You will always cherish the people who care for you when you're unwell. I am truly grateful that every time I order food delivery from Kabayan Bistro and Lounge, they consistently follow my instructions and fulfill even the smallest requests. Beyond offering the most delicious Filipino delicacies and comfort foods, it’s the thoughtful little details that make all the difference. Maraming salamat po to my kababayan at Kabayan Bistro and Lounge for serving the Filipino community in New York with excellence, both in the meals they prepare and the exceptional customer service they provide. You truly are the best—a business that embodies excellence with a heart! I look forward to personally visiting soon to enjoy a meal at your restaurant and to say thank you in person for everything.

We ordered 5 full trays as they promoted it while we were placing the order over the phone. The promo was if you order 5 full trays it includes a full tray of dessert. We opted in as we expect to get what they have advertised. Weeks after placing the advance order. Time to pick them up. Pick up persons was informed they ran out of the reserved dessert ( maja blanca) and replaced it with two small box of biko. I tried to call them to figure out what happened. I asked how are we not getting what we reserved. Since we “reserved” our order. I was put on hold after I asked my question and no one ever picked it up anymore. It was very disappointing because I’m a regular customer. Aside from that. The kare-kare that we order full tray were so few. It was placed flat spread on the tray to make it look like it was a full tray. We transfered it to a bowl and everything fit into the bowl. That’s not good.

The delivered food was not packed well. The bag was plastic without a stable base so the sinigang soup spilled in the bag. The other food containers were not securely closed and the oily sauces spilled on top and under them. Awful, awful food packing service. Would it hurt to have covered them in saran wrap and placed them in a paper bag? I hope they do a better job next time.

The food was good and the service was good, but for the price you are paying for, you could at least do something about the flies. That is the only reason why it is a 3 star rating from me. I don't think a bug zapper is beyond your operational budget unless you are truly trying to recreate the authentic Philippines experience where you are constantly trying to swat flies away from your food. Also, the bathrooms notably have a swarm brewing in there particularly the men's toilet stall which is in the men's bathroom. There had to be like at least a dozen flies in there. I'm sorry for the rant, but these are inexcusable environmental standards for the price. So let me end this on a positive note: the turon is amazing. I can't think of a place that rivals the turon here in both the US and the Philippines.

Everything was good, food, service and music. My nephew's birthday was great and we'll have good memories of it.

Vegetarian options: Very good veg options.

Parking: Go early, parking is terrible to find. Walked for blocks in the rain on 8-18-24.
Kabayan should make local arrangements for parking especially when the group is big.

Tried Kabayan bistro several times and went here again for brunch with my family. A little disappointed with some of the food , had lumpiang shanghai, it looks smaller than it used to be, the halo halo not as tasty as before and the ice has melted already when they serve it. Though the crispy pata is still the best .. Thank goodness. The service and ambiance is still the same, a five star ⭐️

Food was okay but service fees, tax, and tips are outrageous. Tips should be included already in Service Fees of 20%.

My group and I came here for a dinner. We were not notified about the service fee charge for the live music until we started to order. They Tried to charge us $10 for the loud live music but when we said we were thinking about leaving they agreed to $5 per person. We stayed and ordered our dishes. The garlic fried rice we got was cold. The rice clumped together and it was lukewarm at best. We got two sizzling pork and one was overly sour than the other. There seems to be inconsistency in their food...... The kare kare came with two pieces of oxtail only. You can find better Filipino food elsewhere. Save your money. This is not the vibe either. The live music was good but just loud. If you want to talk or socialize during your dinner do not go here. Go somewhere else where they won't charge you for music
