I recently shopped at this bakery and encountered a troubling issue. When I used my debit card, the cashier processed it as a credit card, resulting in an unexpected fee. When I pointed out that it was a debit card and asked about the fee, the cashier was unaware of the difference and mentioned that it was the only way the transaction could be processed. This clearly indicates a lack of proper training and awareness from the staff. While it’s not the cashier’s fault, it reflects poorly on the management and the owner’s failure to update their systems and train their team properly. This is especially concerning for communities that may not be aware of their rights. It feels like the company is taking advantage of customers’ lack of knowledge. I strongly urge them to improve their practices and respect consumer rights.

Ever since a friend recommended it to me, I really liked the atmosphere. Then, little by little, I started trying the menu, and I've really liked it so far. Today, I ordered something different from the usual menu and went for a Frijolada, which I loved. When you go, order the tres leches de coco (coconut milk). You'll love it....

I love in astoria and pass by bc I happen to be in the area at lunch time. A plate of food and rice and beans for $55?! I could have had a fancy Greek lunch or dinner for TWO in astoria. Wow!! These prices are definitely insane. Not coming back. Not worth it.

What a wonderful addition to the Jackson Heights, NY neighborhood. Bistro quality atmosphere, excellent service, super delicious Colombian food, and very reasonable prices... This is definitely a magnificent place for a meal, a snack, and with their newly expanded seating area (in the back of the store) an excellent place to meet and enjoy Colombian gastronomy at its best!

I visited your restaurant on a Monday and ordered a soup. There was a misunderstanding, and the server brought a plate I never ordered. When I explained I only asked for soup, she came back twice trying to make me have it ! told me I’d caused her to have to pay for it, which made me feel blamed and uncomfortable. I ended up paying for it ! I’m not looking for anything in return, but I hope staff can be reminded that respectful communication matters.

I work near Kafra’s and get my coffee from here sometimes along with a pastel de pollo or whatever baked good I feel like on the day. Recently I decided to come in with some friends from work and the server was super helpful and offered us the special they have in the evenings. Diana was a great server and the food was great as well. We had a couple of burgers and bought some fresh bread to take home. Thank you Diana!!
