Ordered fried rice with wagyu. Got fat instead of wagyu. That was disappointing. Drinks were good, tuna and sushi. Ribs were mid. Not 2 impressed. Atmosphere was dope though.

We came here for our anniversary. The food (15 course omakase) was excellent, and the service even better. Sonny, the manager, made a big deal out of our special occasion and it made it even more of a memorable celebration. Looking forward to dining here again!

First thing first, reservation is highly recommended. It is located below a hotel, you would want to make sure you have seats. We reserved ours and you will get charged if you don't show up. We had Omakase plus sake paring which is extra 45 bucks per person. There are options to sit by the bar or tables. So that is min of 150 bucks per person. The vibe was ok, didn't feel extra luxury. Feel like sitting in any restaurant. They have a coat rack by the door and umbrella stand. The rack was full so I put my coat on the chair and the host helped me to make sure my coat is not touching the floor. I thought the service was so so in terms of manners and knowledge. We were kind of told in a rough manner the moment we sat down that they were only serving omakase at dinner, which what we planned to have anyway. The waiter/waitresses put the dishes on the table and then walked away without letting us know what they are. We had to ask them to explain. And sake paring also, brought us the bottle, told us the same and then start pouring. The proper way is to let customers know where the sake came from, types, flavors are the minimum information to tell the customers when u have Omakase. When we asked her, she doesn't know how to answer us at all BUT she was great and went to the bar to ask these info and let us know. 2nd paring on, she was prepared and told us all the info. Which to me, the restaurant did not train staff properly.
In terms of food, they were all delicious, well presented. Sake selections were great. Need to work and train staff better and more professional. This is not a 10 bucks dumpling noodle soup place, it is a high-end Omakase restaurant that people expect to have different experience.
Kid-friendliness: There were kids there, seems ok with kids.

Such a great omakase experience that you don’t have to travel all the way down to the city for. From the amazing service from Chef Ben to the aesthetics of the place to the quality of the fish was all top grade. Definitely recommend those in town to come check it out

My husband and I reserved a 2-person omakase tasting with the sake pairing. When we entered, we were not seen for a minute (not a problem) as it seemed busy but the restaurant was not full and we were 15 minutes early. Finally one of the servers told us we could wait at the bar while our bar seats for the tasting were prepared. I asked if we were able to hang our coats on the rack. Once we placed our own coats on the rack, we sat at the bar and were ignored until our seats were ready. So, we had no chance to order a drink before the start of the meal. Not a huge problem since we were doing the sake pairing.
We sat for the tasting and another server "took our order" and we acknowledged we were in fact ordering the tasting. The first appetizer came and we were unprepared because it was not presented to us as the start of the tasting and we assumed the first sake pairing would also be poured along WITH any dish.
When the server was back near us, I inquired about the state of the sake pairing and then 3 servers came to our side. The older man with glasses chastised us for not telling the server we were doing the sake pairing (didn't know we were on the clock for training staff), but not knowing how their reservation system operates we assumed you'd prepare what we reserved.
The food was fine, but the purpose of the pairing was to have the dishes and drinks flow together "like a symphony" (as the nicer server told us). Unfortunately, this birthday dinner symphony was out of tune and discordant. The sake descriptions were also not...accurate. It made for a strange experience because most of the sakes were delicious!
The assistant chef was great, but they were also having to act as a serving counter for the servers. It was quite chaotic. Also, you should have paper towels in the bathrooms. Especially considering there's a lot of hand usage in this type of cuisine.
Maybe it was understaffing because near the end of our dinner, the previous bartender was pushed out on the floor as a sever and someone else was behind the bar.
The seafood tasted fresh, so that's nice. But when we spend nearly $400 on a birthday dinner, we expect the entire experience to match.

Really not a good experience. Look how they give our to go food
The sushi here is nothing short of phenomenal. This fish is very fresh, and each piece is crafted with precision. Highly recommend the Omakase if you want to experience the chef's best selections. Service was attentive and the presentation of each dish was artful. The prices are reasonable for the quality, making it a great choice for a date night or special occasion.
