This restaurant will fail. First order of business should be honoring your advertised hours of business. I brought my mom there today at 11:30am. When we got to the door, we were told that they aren’t open due to the cook not being there yet. Mind you, my mom is 83 and needs assistance to walk and this is in the cold winter. It was not easy to get there and we drove from Long Island. If you can’t honor your own hours of operation, then you’re not a legit business and will lose customers fast. I will never go there again.

I ordered food through Ubereats. The delivered food was not packed well. The bag was plastic without a stable base so the sinigang soup spilled in the bag. The other food containers were not securely closed and the oily sauces spilled on top and under them. Awful, awful food packing. Would it hurt to have covered them in saran wrap and placed them in a paper bag? hope they do a better job next time.

Absolutely loved this place. Super kind and friendly like all Filipinos. Food was sobrang masarap which mean very delicious (no I’m not Filipino but I identify as one)

Great food. We got the deep fried fish and crispy pork with peanut butter sauce. They were excellent. And the prices were very convenient. It is definitely a gem in NYC. Highly recommend.

Service was not the best, understaffed. The lady asked us for our contact information, to put us down for the wait list. After wandering the neighborhood for an hour and a half, we decided to return to check our place in line. We came back to an empty restaurant and the lady who took our name had left the restaurant. There seemed to be an obvious communication problem among the staff. It felt like they didn’t want to work with each other. Calamansi and lechon were the only things I enjoyed. I don’t recommend kare kare, in general.

Amazing casual & relaxed space serving a refreshed, modern-take on Filipino classics. Walks the fine line between elevating Filipino food while keeping its roots. Loved the presentation! Definitely recommend the tofu Sisig!

Generally, all the food we ordered could have been better. It was likely that the taste was adjusted for the American palate.

The service was great and the food even better, the crispy pata was so good. It was super crispy on the outside but the inside was as tender as pulled pork. Would come again.

Was in NY for work, got dismissed early, and as usual, I have to have my Filipino Food fix. Decided to check out Kalye Bistro, and my-oh-my was I glad I did! Also lucked out getting the last seat available ?, every table was already reserved. Ordered the Fresh Lumpia (Lumpiang Sariwa): I haven’t had in a long time: and Palabok Overload - which included; calamari, lumpia, and kawali - (what the sorcery??!!!) Both dishes were delicious!!! Hands down to the chefs!!! I’m telling everyone I know and I will ? take them to Kalye Bistro next time I visit!!

Super friendly crew at the front of house and back. As a recent transplant from Los Angeles, I’ve been feeling homesick. But just one spoonful of their laing, and I was transported back to my Lola’s in

Kalye Bistro leaves me concerned. I expected a normal and enjoyable experience eating here, but to say it was underwhelming is an understatement. Our table ordered bistek, pancit canton, and kare-kare. The bistek was cut into thick pieces with an overwhelming amount of sabaw, the meat was bland and still had pieces of fat in it. The kare-kare was delivered in a stunning presentation, but extremely underwhelming. Although those dishes weren’t up to standard, the pancit canton was enjoyable and we had no problems with it whatsoever. The staff was very nice and understanding of the situation, but overall, I would never eat here again.

5 stars! Great for families, our server was super nice and every dish was delicious. The lechon was amazing. Super crispy skin and the meat was very moist. Small cozy restaurant. Well worth it.
