I am the typical aging athlete who has to watch his waist. I have to avoid this place, because every time I go I am tempted to get down like the hot dog eating ghost in Ghostbusters, only with their pies and not hot dogs.
If you want fresh, excellent stuff, go. If you want to remain skinny, stay away. The absolute best!

I’ve been going here for months and the prices have sky rocketed. Why is 1 can of soda $2.50?. On the online menu it says $1.50. So am i getting scammed here like what’s up with that? Also i got a coffee awhile back and it wasn’t even filled to the top. You would think for $6 that you would get a full cup of coffee but i guess not. Also i feel like the quality of the pastry’s have went down. Like the croissants are stale and it’s just not a very satisfying taste.

Best cakes in town. I gave 4 starts because the cakes are so overpriced. Please reduce your prices so costumers are encouraged to come and buy more of your cakes!
I would not recommend hot drinks or breakfast menu. I would only recommend baked goods and cakes.

Tried the pistachio creme donut/bun.... the cookie croissant... the brownie croissant. All terrible. Everything comes across very stale. If you're chasing the viral crookie but don't want to go into the city I would recommend cafe w in flushing. For some reason my crookie had the smell of a slice of pizza as well... which I can't explain. Overall the croissants aren't good at a basic croissant level... even costco 12 in a plastic tub croissants are better imho
EDIT: another recommendation if you want high quality desserts is French workshop

Been here few times trying different pastries and I have yet to find a treat that taste rich and fresh despite having a premium price tag competing with high end manhattan pastry shops

I got the $8 cheesecake with the strawberry on top, it was amazing! Super soft, flavorful, and a great cheesecake overall. Dude at the counter was chill too, definitely recommend this place if you need to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Amazing cake! Amazing service! The space to write on the cake was so tight but the girl did it perfectly! Didn’t try their baked goods but it’s a very wide range! Loved the interior!

Wow!! I had the unique opportunity to try a variety of their pastries just before closing today, and everything was wonderful. Amazing value to boot! Cute storefront and café interior, and friendly ladies working the counter. I will absolutely give them another try.

I really wanted to like this bakery as it's a nice pastry/cake option in the middle of Jackson Heights, and the selection of items always looks so interesting. That being said, I've tried their pastries/croissants thrice over the past year, and each time I've found them to be very stale. The nutella supreme was so stale today it was impossible to bite through and a challenge to cut even with a knife and fork. I would really like to return if La Baker can commit to upping their freshness standards with their pastries.

I didn’t want to do this. I loved your tiramisu cakes and fruit cakes for months. But for 2 different birthdays I bought Black Forest and chocolate mousse since I couldn’t find tiramisu and was quite upset seeing the ridiculous increase in prices of cakes.Almsot like $50 each for cakes. I remembered big tiramisu was like $30 something back then. Anyways needless to say the chocolate moose cakes and the black forest cakes were stale and smelly. Kinda tasted really old ,I’m sorry. Even the chocolate like pieces on top of strawberry tasted like pure plastic and the strawberries inside the cake were rotten and spoiled. I wish this place can run better in the next few months, gonna try to come and see if you all have tiramisu and better options, super upset with what I got last week , with the choclate cakes.
