If you want the gold standard for Cantonese dim sum in NYC, Lake Pavilion delivers. We came on a busy weekend late morning and the operation was a well-oiled machine—host stand moved quickly, tea hit the table immediately, and carts rolled by nonstop with all the classics done right. Har gow were glassy and snappy, siu mai juicy, rice rolls silky with big, sweet shrimp, and the baked pineapple pork buns were fluffy with that perfect crackly top. Specials were equally strong—the roast duck had crisp skin and tender meat, and the steamed spareribs were super flavorful without being greasy. Service was on point the whole meal: plates swapped, tea refilled, questions answered, and everything arrived hot. Big round tables make it easy for groups and family gatherings, and the room has that lively banquet-hall buzz that makes dim sum fun. Pro tip: arrive before 11 to minimize the wait. Bottom line—excellent food, fast and friendly service, and great value for the quality. Instant favorite.

Dim sum wasn’t that great. The place is definitely overhyped by many food reviewers on IG, If you seat in the middle you don’t get all the cars that come around. other places are definitely better.. I usually tip base on service after I pay for my meals. The bill was $60, I got my change back. The lady told me that doesn’t include the tip in a very rude tone.

Really good dimsum.
They have a crispy shrimp rice roll dish and it’s super yummy. Everything is fresh.

This is olde school dim sum which is reminiscent of what we eat decades ago, the space looks like a time warp and feels a little dated, the staff, uniforms and decor are from another era.
The good to dishes lack flavor and need more salt and sauces.
Portions are generous, but need a little more care and attention.

Huge portions of fresh but uninspiring food. I would go as much as to call it bland. Went on a Wednesday night and there was no dim sum. Not being Chinese was definitely an issue with communication. (we received a dish that we did not think it was the one we ordered)

Great food and most excellent service. We do not speak Chinese but this does not affect the level of service we get. Very friendly wait staff and management. Food is fresh, well made, and delicious. We love to eat here!

Went here for dim sum. Got there around 1:30, seated at 1:40pm. I kid you not, there were only 3 dim sum carts for the entire restaurant. The food that was available, was cold and lukewarm at best. Decent Service was non existent.

I had to repeatedly ask servers for hot tea. They kept forgetting. They kept saying more food would come out but nothing else came out.

If you’re going to get dim sum in flushing, this is not the place.

My husband and I come here twice a month. It’s a great place to enjoy Chinese food. Our favorite dishes are lobster and beef!

This is an authentic Cantonese resturant. It very much reminded me of being in Hong Kong. The food and decor are very similar to resturants that I have seen in HK. The food is not spicy so dont look for Scezhuan style preparations. I recommend the fried pork and the chicken.

The food is so disgusting that it's the worst Chinese food in my 50 years of life. Can't believe someone can cook such awful taste of food and still exists. Please do not waste money for this place for dinner, don't say that I didn't warn you. My whole family and cousins with 6 adults all giving the worst review. Recently, my neighbor also said that she heard the same bad comments about this restaurant.

I absolutely loved everything about this restaurant from the moment I took my first bite, I knew I had discovered something special. Every dumpling is bursting with flavor—juicy on the inside, perfectly cooked on the outside, and paired with just the right amount of seasoning and dipping sauce.

The taste of the food is fantastic—you can tell that every ingredient is fresh and carefully chosen. The shrimp ones are tender and slightly sweet, and full of flavor and not at all boring like in some other places. Every dish I tried made me want more.

If you’re looking for food that warms your heart and satisfies your cravings, this is the place. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves bold, delicious, comforting Chinese flavors.
