Food: limited selections, doesn’t have many choices of meat and other food items are those cheapest you can find in the market. Only thing I liked was their beef tallow soup base since not all ayce hotpot places offer it hence the two stars.
Service: despite having only me as the only customer the waiters still didn’t bother to check in on me not even once to refill the water
Atmosphere: it’s 95 degrees outside and it’s still pretty hot inside of the restaurant although I was told they turned the ac on for as low as it could get..

For an AYCE experience, Lao Shen Hotpot is certainly a great restaurant to choose. The selection of ingredients is rather average, however, they are very generous with their portions of meat. Overall, the experience is very nice.

Great hot pot buffet. Service is attentive without being overwhelming. The typical hot pot ingredients: seafood, veggies, tofu, fish balls, noodles, etc., are self-serve. The premium items (beef, lamb) are brought to you in generous portions. The sauce bar is phenomenal with an array of sauces and seasonings. The soup base we chose is the mushroom one and very flavorful.

Note on accessibility: The bathrooms are upstairs, and there's no elevator, so not convenient for wheelchair users.

Parking: There's no parking lot but street parking is not hard to find nearby.

The weekend's dinner price is the same as the weekday price. Kids under 1.4m are free.

Kid-friendliness: Small kids are free. And there are fruit snacks and sushi that are easy for kids.

This store is simply a trap. The food is garbage, the consumption is high-end, there are very few food varieties, and the available food is the cheapest on the market. The clerk said that you can scan to order, but when you scan it, you can only find fat beef. One way, I went there on a Saturday night, and there were only two or three tables around. If it were another hot pot restaurant, you would have to wait in line on Saturday night. Anyway, whoever goes to this restaurant will regret it. I even suspected that this store would close down after Chinese New Year.

Among all the hot pot restaurants in New York, this one has the worst ingredients. The ingredients are the cheapest, and there are very few edible items. The simplest ones only have one or two vegetables. Not many people go to eat them on Saturdays. This kind of hot pot only Foreigners can be deceived, but Chinese people only have one-time consumption.

They put the food in uniform portions in small plates. If I were only two or three people, I wouldn't be able to finish the entire plate, or half of the food on each plate would be wasted. In addition, there are relatively few choices of leafy vegetables.

I don’t recommend going to this place at all. The tip must be 15% up. It’s compulsory. I asked them to refill my water but they didn’t do it at all. They were quick at receiving tip and calculating your money rather then serving you. Don’t come here. 99 flavors taste is a better place.

The most cost-effective self-service hotpot restaurant in Flushing. The owner is very nice and the service is good.
