Pan con chicharron was well priced, savory, and cooked well. The service and interior was chaotic and inefficient.

We came in this morning to buy alfajores and a few other items for family. The bakery was extremely hot — no AC or fan — and NYC is in the middle of a heatwave. It’s unsanitary to keep cookies, cakes, and pastries out in that kind of heat, especially since they contain milk and dairy. These items should be stored in the display fridge.
We spent nearly $40 and had asked for the cookies/alfajores from the display fridge, but were handed the ones from the counter instead. They were stale and tasted off — likely from being left out in the heat too long.
We also got some empanadas, but few were the wrong flavors, and the staff didn’t seem sure which was which. Labeling or using different shapes would definitely help.
Overall, a disappointing experience — especially after traveling a long way to try this place.

New York is a cultural melting pot, so you can find 100 restaurants with the same type of food in the city. That being said, there is something about the food here that can't be compared with other cafes. The food is spectacular! The attention from the staff is friendly. Even the first time I went I felt like a regular. Maybe I'm biased because I love Peruvian food, but the Amercian style breakfast is also really good. Lastly, for being in New York, the prices are reasonable. You'll think so even more when you taste it. The quality of the food far exceeds the price you pay. I've been to cafes as far as Milan and London to Bennington, Nebraska. Trust me...eat here once, and you'll want to come back.

Rosa is very professional and courteous. Kudos to this place.
I ordered for the first time ever a surtido bc I honestly haven’t had one in so long since I was in Peru and let me tell you . The food is will literally transport back to Peru. The quality is insane and identical . Found my little Peru in here
I'm not much of a writer
Or to say the truth but this place was very good, I ate pork rinds and apple oatmeal and a delicious Peruvian empanada. It's been a long time since I ate in a good place, very delicious.

Gave the best service in building a relationship with customers and presenting the food really nicely. I would bring my family to eat here
I had a large coffee . It was so diluted and cold milk make it taste awful. Usually they warm the milk . It was a new lady attending .
I gave her mistakenly $4 dollars . I was waiting for my change . SHE TOLD AT LOUD .. I thought it was my TIP .. SO SHE PUT IT IN PLASTIC CUP … I was there many times .,
This time the quality of products / cold 🥶 hot coffee . Bad taste.
The quality of service - horrible

Pricing you can get the same bagel cream cheese at the corner better quality bread and cheese for less. 3 rolls with bacon and egg $25 dollars at the corner less than 20..plus a terrible attitude even towards dogs I've lived in the area for almost 30 years ..never been told that my dog is not allowing to walk in from of any place..since I'm walking on the side walk not in the restaurant..and if that was the case my dog is a service dog..no wonder that place is always empty..too price..they don't prepare the food served there on premises wich goes against the NY health department rules for serving prepared foods..and not a pet friendly..or nit friendly at all
Delicious and super affordable ?
