1. Ordered a custom birthday order online throught their website.
2. Communicated my expectations thoroughly.
3. Messaged them the day prior to confirm.
4. Confirmed before arriving.

I go to pickup and my birthday order isn't there. Not much else to say.

Bought a cake most of the cake was merengue paid 60 something on it. The bread was only 2cm the filling was strawberry, peaches (canned, to what my taste buds tell me), and they filled the filling with merengue. Overall, none of my guest were satisfied with the cake.
P.S. will not be coming back. And I will be I adding pictures.

I’ve been going to this spot for about a year now. It’s within walking distance from where I live and near the children’s park and public library. Theres always an excuse to stop by, enjoy the freshly made pastries and have a treat with my daughter. It’s about bonding with her mostly I think. Staff are always friendly, and I like that we can always get complimentary water upon request. There are always free tables and plenty of people go solo to work or just read a book. I’ve put on a few friends to this lovely bakery and they love it too!

My go to for tiramisu birthday cakes. Super moist, you get the coffee flavor and it’s super creamy and fresh. I honestly think they make the best tiramisu.

I served one of their chocolate cakes for an event where I was hosting 30 and it was absolutely the star of the show! Lovely staff that are clearly committed to their community and eager to help. I would absolutely return for any occasion.

Cakes and sweets are great! So is the staff. My favorite is the Berry Napoleon.

Recently they started playing the radio obnoxiously loud and I think the place struggles with whether or not it wants to be a cafe or just a pastry shop.

They don’t carry any savory foods besides an inconsistently made Spinach pie. And depending who’s on staff, the coffee quality fluctuates. I don’t think some of the staff know how to make the coffee they have listed on their menu.

Twice I’ve ordered coffee that is just muddy and bitter. Shame to let a La Mazorcco machine go to waste. Hope they can train their staff better and maybe add some more savory items on the menu.

Second time getting a cake from here for my brother and they NAILED IT! I gave a reference photo, quick response and it came out beautifully. This was tres leches flavor and they put multiple fruits inside, it was SO good and moist, we wanted 2nds/3rds. Super nice staff members as well, thank you for another amazing experience!

My family and I used to come here a lot. However lately the drinks have not reached expectations. The last month of drinks has not reached expectations. I usually ordered smoothies for my wife and a latte or cappuccino for me. They stopped making smoothies but still it's on the menu (they should take it off if they discontinued it) Lately the lattes have been cold and the cappuccino doesn't feel the same like it used to. This store used to be so good but now everytime I go it's hard to sit anywhere even tables are always dirty. And the girls are always too busy talking so asking for their attention is hard.
However, I still do like their cakes and fruit tarts. Sometimes the fruit tarts have mold. The cakes are always good. However, I do not like the service here anymore so even the cakes aren't worth coming for.

MDG is a paradise for anyone who loves great cakes, pastries, and coffee. Bakeries across the city serve beautifully crafted desserts from melt in your mouth cakes to flaky, buttery pastries. Pair them with NYC’s expertly brewed espresso or smooth pour overs, and you’ve got the perfect treat. Wherever you wander, you’re never far from something delicious! Last but not least the team behind the counter is always warm welcoming friendly, professional, passionate, and knowledgeable, adding to the charm. A must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth!

I called yesterday inquiring about scheduling some cupcakes for a Friendsgiving and the person whom I was on the phone with had no patience when I was asking questions. She hung up on me mid conversation. A shame because this bakery was a Sunnyside gem.
