I bought feteer meshaltet, 1 for $32 and that was such a disappointment, it’s so hard to chew and tasteless especially for that price. Too expensive for such a poorly made Egyptian traditional dish. I hope they improve and change the recipe.

Avoid! Bad feteer, returned it. No reaction by them, they do not even care to apologize!

BEWARE absolutely not worth your money! Food was terrible absolutely bland! Don't ask for the sauce. The salt and pepper shaker had nothing inside it. The pictures on the reviews are a joke. They didn't care to ask if we liked it or not. On top of that they put a service charge without even caring if we were ok or not. Hasn't been even 20 mins, and my stomach started hurting really bad. The rice tasted bad as if it was out for 2 days. I expect this establishment to compensate as soon as possible.

Perfect and delicious Egyptian food. It tastes like home. The mixed feteer, mombar, and the bashamel were perfect. The Alexandrian liver sandwich was very good. The molokheya was good as well. Special thanks to Raga, who provided exceptional service. A must try if you visit NY.

This is the best Egyptian restaurant in NYC by far.
The server was very sweet and the cashier ran after me to give me my glasses that I forgot in the restaurant.

As someone who live in Egypt for 8 years, I really felt I am in Egypt. The food is delicious. We tried Molokhoya, Mombar, Kofta, Mooza, Duck, Bashamel and all were amazing.
Special shoutout to the waiter, Rajaa, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentiv. She made our dining experience even more enjoyable with her warm hospitality and helpful recommendations.
We were also very impressed by Chef Samia — her professionalism and skill are evident in every dish that comes out of the kitchen. It’s clear she puts her heart into her cooking, and it truly shows in the taste and presentation.
Highly recommend this place to anyone craving authentic Egyptian cuisine or looking to discover it for the first time. We'll definitely be back!

What an incredible experience! I’m Egyptian and the food reminds me of my mother’s food, it tastes amazing! Ragaa and Samia “Om Ahmed” both were really welcoming and made the experience much much better, Om Ahmed is definitely a top chef.

I ordered the lamb fette. Not only the portion was small, but the lamp pieces were hard to see, may be less than 100 gm total, the rest was some rice and bread. When the check came, they added 20% service charge, I asked if this was the tip included, but it was not. What is service charge ?????. Later at night, I had the worst heartburn ever which tells me the oil used was very old and dirty

The restaurant is very bad. The service is terrible. I waited for a very long time just to place my order, and they even forgot that I had an order. The food quality was also bad.
