Went there on a Sunday night. The food was still top quality. The meat was juicy. And it was fairly priced. We ordered like 11 skewers and 4 plovs for 4 people. I’m not over exaggerating when I say this gave me a euphoric experience as I was hungry the whole day.

This was my first time dining at the Uzbek restaurant Marakand, and since I had never tried Uzbek cuisine before, I wasn’t sure what to order.

Our server, Ikrom, was incredibly helpful and friendly. I asked him for recommendations, and he suggested their most popular dishes: the Plov (one portion) and the LG dumplings, also known as manti in Uzbek. The plov was delicious and flavorful, and the four-piece manti dumplings were absolutely wonderful.

I really appreciated how Ikrom took the time to guide me through the menu and make sure I had a great experience. Thanks to his recommendations, I ended up with two perfect dishes. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.

One of the best Uzbekistan restaurants

We never get good service here. The young man who always attend the table is very unorganized & unprofessional waiter. He is always mean, rude, jerky & never smiles at none Uzbek customers. Makes guests who aren't Uzbekistani like me feel very unwelcomed. I felt a racist vibe in the air. They give friendly services only if you are one of them (Uzbekistani) or speak their language. I asked for sauces because my food was too dry, the same young man who was the waiter left & never showed up again. He is very stingy by nature & doesn't like to accommodate what customers needed to emjoy their meals. I had to request another waiter for help. This restaurant staffs say one thing & do another. They don't keep their words & very dishonest in their dealings. Never tip them because they automatically take 15% for it already without informing you that they would charge you gratuity fees, then they make you sign when paying with credit cards & beg you for another extra tip. They see money only. Not humans. They're very stingy & you'd find them weird. As a New Yorker, I highly do not recommend this place and would not recommend any families or neighbors here. This is my honest review & personal experience here. They have the worst & most unfriendly waiters. Especially the young man with a little beard & pale skin who is always there in a black shirt or so that usually serves & also stays near the counter often by the cashier. I don't like him at all & feel unwelcomed in this restaurant.

Chilly night and feening for some soup and kebabs. This is the spot you must try. Uzbek style different meat kebab hitting the right taste buds. Try their fillet mignon, lamb chops, lambs ribs. Don’t forget the lagman soup! Ok last one…carrots and beef plov a must try

This Uzbek restaurant in Queens is absolutely fantastic! The food tastes truly authentic — just like homemade dishes from Central Asia. Prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous. The staff are warm, welcoming, and always make you feel at home. Highly recommend to anyone craving real Uzbek flavor!

Can’t get enough of this place! I’ve tried most of the Uzbek spots around, and this one’s the best so far. The kebabs are grilled to perfection over charcoal, and the plov rice was absolutely amazing. Plus, their lunch special is the best deal around!

The waiters were a bit pompous when talking to customers. It was as if I'd come to them to borrow money. They brought me tea with unboiled water. Thankfully, they took it off the bill. It's better at Brookline.

The skewers were juicy and flavorful. We were pleasantly surprised. The eggplant salad had fried eggplants in a bed of greens. The Baba ghanoush was smoky and the bread was warm.
